Stunning.

Honestly, I thought he couldn't surprise me any more, but he does. Naturalized citizens should be ineligible for financial assistance.

Stunning.

I’m sure he will be billing his wife on behalf of the USA for all the tax payers money that is spent on her.

Full stop. Hold your horses. Whoa. I think it's now official. I'm having a vivid dream.

Or maybe still on a really long, really bad trip from some of that brown Woodstock acid.
Seriously, Bundy and the POTUS issue statements on the same topic and Bundy is the reasonable one. I was still processing how stupid Trump sounded in that Washington Post interview. Stupid is an incomplete descriptor to use, too. It's really shocking how utterly unsuited Trump is for the job. It still slaps you in the face after almost 2 years.

History is unfolding in front of our eyes, and I think it's far more significant, dramatic, and bizarre than Watergate. This administration, and Trump in particular, is spinning out of control in a way that was previously unimaginable.

I don't mean to be an arrogant *******, but the facts are such that cultists who defend him can safely be called just that -- cultists. They are opponents of US democracy. For the majority of us who value democracy, they are the enemy. Enemies of the people.

There is no excuse any longer for supporting Trump.

The Senate voted 63-37 to advance the resolution to stop America's support for the Saudi military campaign in Yemen. Expect Trump Twitter meltdown.

This is exactly why I'm following this as closely as I am. It's not even once-in-a-generation stuff, it's more than that.

And it's not just watching it in real time that I'm finding fascinating, I genuinely can't wait for, say, 20 years' time when they're making films and miniseries about it with the benefit and detachment of hindsight.

Never going to happen, well until Twitter is replaced by some other hot social media system, and it might actually be a staffer doing it. I look forward to a President that doesn't Tweet outright lies on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis.

Surely, it would be better if it was a staffer, given who's in charge at the moment.
