It's in a book, so Trump's base won't have seen it.Wow. He has no clue we can see that stuff.

I also know a bright girl who is a Trump supporter and CTer.I’ll say it yet again...
I know quite a few Trump supporters who are quite intelligent and well read.
Which, while I find perplexing, still works against the “dumb Trump supporter” stereotype.

In my experience what plays in most is emotional investment.I also know a bright girl who is a Trump supporter and CTer.
Often, things like critical thinking play in way more than intelligence.
So strange that active military hasn't turned their back on him. I know that they generally tend to be conservative, but come on. Trump has done nothing but show contempt for those who have served. He trashed McCain's time as a POW. He has yet to visit an active combat zone to see the troops. He skipped both Armistice ceremonies. He sent active duty troops on a PR deployment to the border over the holidays. What more does he have to do?
I referred to Trump's base deliberately. You're referring to a fringe element of his support.I’ll say it yet again...

Intelligence can help people rationalise their emotional responses. Stupid people don't see the need to.In my experience what plays in most is emotional investment.
According to the CNN, Trump is too chicken to visit troops in war zones. I find that funny.
I'd just like to point out that the state US politics is in at the moment means that there's a report that the US secretary of state hand-delivered a plan to a hostile foreign power to help them cover up the murder and dismemberment of a US citizen, and it has passed entirely without comment after being posted in this thread. Are we really that numb to it all now?

Another vote for yes. At least when speaking about a major portion of the US citizenship. As for me, I blow up... and then do very little. Maybe another political contribution...

No, not at all, but I'm not sure about the evidence yet.
