Nomally I don't believe in dragging a politician's wife into the fray, but if Melania is going to try to play Madame Du Barry and/or the Empress Alexandria, then she has given up her non combatant status.
I heard "Dollar Store Isabel Peron" somewhere and it resonated with me.

More on our new Acting AG:
Over the past two decades, Whitaker — now the acting attorney general — has owned a day-care center, a concrete supply business and a trailer manufacturer, state records show. He led a taxpayer-subsidized effort to build affordable housing in Des Moines, but he walked away from the stalled project two years ago after the city threatened him with a lawsuit.

In 2004, when he started a five-year stint as U.S. attorney in the Southern District of Iowa, Whitaker cited a personal-injury case and a dispute involving a dry-cleaning business as some of his most consequential legal work. When he left office, he started a modest legal practice and a short-lived lobbying and consulting firm.

Hang on, the statement was made via “her spokeswoman”?

She’s married to the President, couldn’t she just have a word with him? Or does she have to rely on making a statement to the press and hoping he’ll see it on Fox News?

LOL, read that runon sentence again, and look closely...

"It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honour of serving in this White House,"

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why punctuation is important....

(I take it she is not claiming that she is retiring as First Lady then???)

Wow. He has no idea how voting works. Or, at best, he thinks this will make his sycophants angry enough to forget how voting works.

From my previous experience in dealing with narcissists, I can say with some confidence that when the meltdown comes (and come it will) it will be spectacular!

If I were advising a party Republican (Congress or Senate) I would advise them not to leave it too long before they start distancing themselves from The Orange One; if they wait too long they risk becoming collateral damage.

I have a different take on the MoAB detonation. I think it's more like the "Vrooom! Vrooom!" truck-driver miming. He did it because he wanted to see what it'd be like "blow 'em up real good"(someone insert the SCTV clip, if you want).

He's a big baby and wanted to play with his new toys. If we had a dead zone somewhere in the world, he'd be dropping nukes and watching the videos at night before bed.

Was he involved in that? At the time it was all being said that it was local decisions.

Trump Tweets

"The White House is running very smoothly and the results for our Nation are obviously very good. We are the envy of the world. But anytime I even think about making changes, the FAKE NEWS MEDIA goes crazy, always seeking to make us look as bad as possible! Very dishonest!"

Mattis visited the troops at the southern border who were deployed to protect the US from invaders including middle-easterners, gang members, people with smallpox, and people with leprosy. A soldier asked Mattis what the objective is. The response (in part):
Mattis said:
That's somewhat to be determined

Later Mattis offered a justification:
Mattis said:
It's very good training

It's not easy to explain when one has been reduced to a political prop.

Trump suggests his followers may get “tougher” & “much more violent" with Antifa protesters

Incitement of violence anyone?

https://dailycaller.com/2018/11/14/trump-antifa-opposition-mobilize/

“[Antifa] better hope that the other side doesn’t mobilize,” Trump concluded, “Because if you look, the other side, it’s the military. It’s the police. It’s a lot of very strong, a lot of very tough people. Tougher than them. And smarter than them.”
