Hey it is what republicans want to hear. I am sure Zig loves this.

My great grandfather's bones are strewn somewhere beneath the sacred fields of Vimy Ridge. He was among the first groups of Canadian men to volunteer and put their lives on the line for freedom from tyranny.
My great grandmother was left to raise 6 children on her own. And like every other widow of that time, she managed to keep the family afloat... and no matter how hard she struggled and how poor they were, she stood strong and held her head high.
******* that useless bag of orange flesh and the ivory tower he and his golden helicopter sits in.
But it RAINED on the western frontHey he is taking after his grandfather, the WWI draft dodger. It all runs in the family after all.
! And the rain was BULLETS

Hey maybe he would have been lucky and sent to the eastern front?
Why did he bother going on this trip? All he did is pout and fume and tweet from his hotel room. Was there a private moment with Putin?
On Morning Joe, they showed a picture of Trump, Macron, and Merkel, being approached by Putin. Macron and Merkel had sour looks. Trump was positively beaming. Like a dog reuniting with its master.

I wonder what it must be like to be a Trump supporter.
Whenever I'm tempted to use a whataboutism, it's almost always when someone points out something about "my side" that I find it uncomfortable to deal with, or which I don't have a good answer to.
Going by this, the fact that trumpkins use whataboutisms all the time implies that it must be pretty hard to and exhausting to support the man. You can't have a rational discussion because it would mean saying "yes, that's terrible and goes against what America stands for and of course I don't support it" over and over again.

So they have this Dear Leader, the Dearest Leader, he has lots of friends and they all agree (etc.), but his opponents keep pointing out his major flaws and all the offensive things he does, so they're constantly on the defensive, having to handwave or excuse these things instead of getting to talk about whatever good things they think he does. This makes them frustrated with Trump's opponents, I suppose in part because they know they can't change Trump himself, or they don't want him to change to begin with.
"How can you put up with Trump's lies?"
"All politicians lie. Obama said, 'If you like your insurance, you can keep it.'"
"So....does that mean you think it is ok?"
"Rule of So. The end."
I can't believe this commercial that just ran on Fox News is for real
That was funny and weird, but also uncanny and disturbing.https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1061965651470925825
Follow the link, watch the ad. I guarantee you it's worth your time.

Vote Trump or the bear gets it...

I just know that many, many people are going to be surprised when they get their bill for the second payment of $19.95.
The one thing I find unusual about this ad is that it does not include the trope "And now, for a limited time, you can get two of these. (Just pay a separate fee.)"
As a Trump supporter it is imperative that you can see yourself as one of the good guys, as a true American, and belonging to the good folk.
The Whatabout is a way of replying, "you can't use that to say my people are bad because your people do it too." It's a lame defense but it does the job, since actually being a good person is not so relevant as holding ground that one belongs with the "good."
