Which brings us back to the perennial question: is he a compulsive liar or is he lying as a conscious tactic? He is not a strategic liar because so many of his lies contradict each other and because he lies even when not necessary. Or is he lying mostly a symptom of the out-of-control Narcissitic Personality Disorder?

As for his supporters, some professionals have speculated that his followers look at his, shall we say, inability to keep his facts straight is merely evidence of his passion for his job.

I think it’s just that he’s incredibly weak, so says whatever he thinks the current audience will want to hear.

Trump Tweets

"I am in Paris getting ready to celebrate the end of World War One. Is there anything better to celebrate than the end of a war, in particular that one, which was one of the bloodiest and worst of all time?"

Jeff Spicoli Tweets

"What Jefferson was saying was, Hey! You know, we left this England place 'cause it was bogus; so if we don't get some cool rules ourselves - pronto - we'll just be bogus too! Get it?"

How very dare you imply that about Trump! If he was week, he'd not have the guts to fire people in person... Oh.

Trump Tweeted

"There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!"

Who do I believe? Donald Trump or actual scientists?

But this fall, hot and dry weather has persisted longer, and the rains have yet to come — fitting into a trend that is potentially expanding and intensifying wildfire season.
“[T]he fact that things are still this warm, windy, and extremely dry is becoming progressively more unusual as we head into mid-November,” tweeted Daniel Swain, a climate scientist at the University of California Los Angeles.
In an email, Swain said climate change has “shortened the rainy season at both ends and caused significant aridification [drying] of regional vegetation.”

Would it be appropriate for them to slam Carlson to the ground? After all, that's what Gianforte did to a reporter... and he was praised by Trump. So obviously violence against reporters is somehow acceptable, isn't it?

I find it amazing... Some low-profile people in an organization that isn't even affiliated with the Democrats gets held up as some sort of representative of "the left" when they talk about violence. On the other hand, the republican president (not some anonymous yokels, but the guy who currently enjoys a majority support within his party) actually praises violent acts. Yet the right-wingers here seem to think the actions of the anti-fa people are somehow more significant.
Nicely put.

Trump supporters in a nutshell, unfortunately. "I know you are, but what am I", only it's otherwise intelligent adults, not kindergarden children.

He really is a disgusting creature. Even if he weren't a criminal and a traitor he'd still be a vile thing.

I agree. What I find utterly bizarre is how so many people are apparently incapable of picking up simple social cues. To me, it's obvious (in the freakish extreme) how utterly phony he is. The degree of phony, self righteous sanctimony is simply phenomenal. Yet people watch this sorry clown show and admire how "genuine" he is. It makes my brain want to hurl.

Those people hate everyone Trump hates and are saying privately what he says publicly. Trumpers think like Trump thinks. It's as simple as that.

Maybe some journalist should interview Ill-Douchey concerning his views on faith.

I think Trump would see it as a great way to energize his base without realizing that he would inevitably give answers that conflicted with the various basic tenets of his theocratic followers.

Then again, they ignore most of their own religions beside the xenophobic bits.

Sigh
