The secretary of the Department of Homeland Security on Friday visited what’s being touted as the first section of President Trump’s promised border wall.

The 30-foot barrier falls short of the image of a solid border wall along the US–Mexico border that Trump conjured during his presidential campaign. The 2.25-mile-long barrier has space between each metal post, and it replaces a fence that was made of landing mats from the Vietnam War.

Still, a plaque affixed to the fence proclaims it to be the first section of Trump’s border wall, and Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen wasn’t having it any other way.

I'm not sure if comparisons to Hitler's Nazi Germany are entirely helpful, given how Trump is not likely to reach anywhere close to the evils of Hitler (Holocaust, World War, invasions of huge swaths of land, and so on), but I agree it's interesting as a study, or cautionary tale, of how a country can go from democracy to dictatorship.

Didn't Trump warn about the Middle Eastern (i.e. semitic) people trying to infiltrate the 'Caravan' and sneak into the US?

This clearly alludes to the killer's quote above,
“HIAS likes to bring invaders in that kill our people..I’m going in”

I am sure that Trump can say "some of my best friends are Semites" like Prince MBS. But ...

I was watching him trudge up the stairs, and a few steps from the top, he looked like he was running out of gas. He made a small flail at the handrail, but then it was like he thought that that wouldn't look manly and he didn't touch it. I'm surprised he hasn't asked for some kind of moving sidewalk thingy to take him to the top.
 
I don't understand anti semitism. By saying that a group with a population of 15 million controls everything, it really makes the white supremacists look like they are saying the Jewish people are the master race.

You know what this means don't you...

If we want to prevent Trump from starting a nuclear war, we just have to make the launch button look like an umbrella close button.

You know, if it were any other president I would give them the benefit of the doubt... maybe there was an alternate/innocent explanation (whatever mechanism that closes the umbrella was jammed, it was some new type of mechanism, etc.) But Trump has been so incompetent and petty in his actions overall that I'm not willing to give him a pass over even something as minor as this.
