When I was young, we made a bomb out of gasoline. Packed it in a shell. Never had a fuse to work to make it go off. Obviously, it wasn't a bomb, I guess.

I think this is more evidence this was not a false flag operation. Any liberal I know wouldn't even think of DeNiro as a possible target. A Trumpist who has been stewing about DeNiro's comments at the Tonys (that he/she probably read about on Breitbart) would want to send one to someone who insulted his God Emperor.

Slings and Arrows is blaming the Dems, either for faking the bombs or making an issue out of fake bombs, but rather than care about that abhorrent ******** you're more than content to harp on 'but technically he's not saying no harm'.

He's making a worse argument than the one you called a strawman. Happy now? You can be technically correct on one point while transparently running interference. Press all you want.

That Trump has already started to blame the media and dems is not the basis for my claim about Slings and Arrows argument, but I do in fact predict the latter will support and praise the former no matter the evidence nor the ethics of doing so.

The stokiometry to get gasoline to explode is actually surprisingly tricky when trying to use oxygen in the air as the oxidizing agent in an enclosure. Even gasoline vapor tends to burn quickly, rather than explode.

Now firework charges have solid oxidizing agents mixed in.

I pointed out a strawman. Your rebuttal turned out to be something else entirely. Now you're agreeing that it's something else entirely, and yet somehow still mad at me for telling you that your rebuttal is something else entirely.

And all of this handwaving is your best effort to defend Darat's, JoeMorgue's, and AnonyMoose's spurious claims. Like, seriously, this is as good as it gets, for you.

Seriously, this is a dumb argument.

One bomb was found and destroyed, the other 7 were intercepted by either the Secret Service or other authorities and disarmed by the bomb squad. Why do you think the things should have exploded? Do you think that when the bomb squad got them that they should have just put them on a table to see what would happen? The reason none went off was because they were found and deal with in time. No one that has actually dealt with the devices has said that they would not have exploded, in fact the exact opposite seems to be the case.

The bombs each were made from PVC pipe with a digital timer attached to set off the detonator, the officials said. And each bomb also contained powder from either a low explosive or a pyrotechnic, as in fireworks.

X-rays showed there were likely pieces of shrapnel inside of the PVC pipes, the officials said.

Multiple senior bomb technicians briefed on the case said that the aspiring bomber had all the components necessary to set off a successful explosion.

The bomb intended for Brennan was wrapped in tape and was designed to be functional, officials told NBC News. The device arrived at CNN's offices in a manila envelope that had an unknown white powder inside.

But if you listen to Rush Limbaugh, I'm sure you are very familiar with how evil they are.
