Actually, blacks vote in higher percentages than whites in Alabama. This is the result of decades of racist "voter suppression", according to Dems.

Naah, this is because everybody knows that all a white cracker wants is a warm place to take a crap, a comfortable pair of shoes and ......

Caucs are just shiftless and lazy. Everybody knows that. Shoulda never given 'em the vote in the first place.

I grew up reading Mad Magazine and that's a stylized version of their icon, Alfred E. Neuman. The 'Trump and Republican presidents' painting actually reminded me of a Kelly Freas Mad cover. Freas was an illustrator who did many Mad covers back in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Freas painted with the same realism style that Andy Thomas uses. Freas often put Neuman in a situation where Alfred was oblivious to the fact he was being idiotic. Below is a Freas Mad cover from 1961 that I find very reminiscent of the style Andy Thomas used when he painted "The Republican Club.":

.

Yesss. I knew I saw it on some MAD show several years ago.

I remember when they dressed it up as George W. Bush it always made me laugh.

Actually, I think they'll do better with their cover of Paul Young:

"Every time you go away, you take a piece of me with you..."

:D

Here's a fun game, guaranteed to wind everybody around you up, particularly if you can do it over a microphone - when listening to this song, occasionally make a "t" sound so that it sounds like "you take a piece of meat with you".

"Ever since his vicious and totally false statements about Admiral Ron Jackson, the highly respected White House Doctor for Obama, Bush & me, Senator John Tester looks to be in big trouble in the Great State of Montana! He behaved worse than the Democrat Mob did with Justice K!"

Read the AP interview transcript if you can make it all the way through.

He really believes he is the greatest president in the history of the country.

And it appears that when he is presented with evidence against this belief, he dismisses the evidence out of hand. If someone points out he didn’t pass the largest tax cut in history, then he believes that person is trying to attack him.

New: The White House and the Saudi royal family are searching for an explanation for Khashoggi's death that avoids implicating MBS. That's going to be difficult, as mounting evidence points to the crown prince's connection to Khashoggis' disappearance.

This is the nicest way imaginable to say that the President of the United States is directly helping cover up a gruesome murder

I read an article about Mohammed Bin Salman yesterday in which a Saudi political analyst said "when you are surrounded by people who show no dissent, then you stop listening,".

With the exits of Tillerson, Cohn, McMaster and even Bannon, Trump has gone in the direction of surrounding himself with yes-men and made clear that dissent is not what he is looking for. It may well be that he is deliberately being fed with bits of information that feeds his ego, and that he interprets as being record-breaking achievement. Add to that his almost absolute denial about being wrong about anything and it's no surprise that he believes what he believes.

His constant repetition of these things belies the depth of that belief though. There's a tiny miserable naked little trump somewhere deep inside him who knows the truth and that no amount of comforting lies can banish.

Sort of a positive feedback loop, I'd think.

"I am watching the Democrat Party led (because they want Open Borders and existing weak laws) assault on our country by Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, whose leaders are doing little to stop this large flow of people, INCLUDING MANY CRIMINALS, from entering Mexico to U.S....."

"...In addition to stopping all payments to these countries, which seem to have almost no control over their population, I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught - and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!.."

"...The assault on our country at our Southern Border, including the Criminal elements and DRUGS pouring in, is far more important to me, as President, than Trade or the USMCA. Hopefully Mexico will stop this onslaught at their Northern Border. All Democrats fault for weak laws!"

Don't look at Saudi Arabia, look over here at the hordes of criminals bringing drugs into our country through Democrat controlled Central America!

Said while stuffing his fat, orange pockets with Saudi money. That his followers toe this line is mind boggling.

The latest “Trump, Inc.” podcast is quite informative.

Analysis of an 8-month-long investigation by Propublica into how the Trumps “pumped and dumped” real estate ventures in an apparently fraudulent and possibly illegal manner over the years.

I never had much of a view on Ivanka Trump one way or the other prior to this piece. Apparently, she was a wiiling accomplice in these schemes, misleading investors as to the value of properties she was trying to foist on them - often properties that never got completed.

Anyway, worth a listen.

I have noticed that people seem to have a blind spot when it comes to Ivanka. "But she's young and pretty! She says she cares about children! She must be okay!"

Nope. She's just as involved in everything as the rest of her family.

I expect that in amongst the reasons Mueller hasn't indicated he's going after her yet are a) that Trump might actually be moved to do something if he felt who White House staff allegedly call "the real wife" (as opposed to Hope "the real daughter" Hicks) was being targeted and b) it might make for bad optics for the probe, which at the moment is enjoying public support. People might go "oh, hang on a minute. She's cute and talks about female empowerment! Going after her is beyond the pale!"

Indeed. Typical, trembling white supremacist talk. Such quivering is unmanly. Takes true jello for a spine to think that way, or do things like shoot at a 15 yo kid ringing your doorbell in plain daylight to ask for directions and say "We were scared."

The only possible explanation for repeated panicked white shootings of blacks: a deep sense of guilt and being deserving of punishment for egregious, repeated and prolonged crimes against humanity, aka, traditional Southern charm and Midwestern hospitality.
