I can't stand Saudi Arabia, but given their routine behavior what's so special about a journalist? I like that people are looking at it, but he's no safer from that crazy, repressive government than anyone else.

They are assassinating political rivals on foreign soil. (And no, I don't count dragging him into their embassy to murder him as being in Saudi Arabia.)

Trump Tweets

"Open enrollment starts today on lower-priced Medicare Advantage plans so loved by our great seniors. Crazy Bernie and his band of Congressional Dems will outlaw these plans. Disaster!"

A federal judge in Los Angeles on Monday threw out adult-film actress Stormy Daniel’s defamation lawsuit against President Trump on free-speech grounds.

“The court agrees with Mr. Trump’s argument because the tweet in question constitutes ‘rhetorical hyperbole’ normally associated with politics and public discourse in the U.S.,” U.S. District Judge S. James Otero in Los Angeles said in a ruling Monday. “The First Amendment protects this type of rhetorical statement.”

More bad news for the creepy porn lawyer: "The federal judge also ordered Stormy to pay Trump’s legal fees."

Nice!

The painting is so sad. He just wants friends and to he happy

True.
His entire life he strived to be accepted by the New York elite - unsuccessfully.
And a number of international meetings and summits have hammered the lesson home that the leaders of other Nations don't consider him one of their own, either.

At least most of the Presidents on the picture can't give him the cold shoulder anymore.

Trump cultists are strange. They think a lawyer representing a porn star is creepy, but a married man who bangs a porn star isn't..........

BREAKING — 2 sources tell @clarissaward and @TimListerCNN that the Saudis are preparing a report that will acknowledge Jamal Khashoggi's death was the result of an interrogation that went wrong, one that was intended to lead to his abduction from Turkey.

2/ One source: report will likely conclude that the operation was carried out without clearance and transparency and that those involved will be held responsible.

One source: report is still being prepared and cautioned that things could change.

"The person said Prince Mohammed had approved an interrogation or rendition of Mr. Khashoggi back to Saudi Arabia. But, he said, the Saudi intelligence official was tragically incompetent as he eagerly sought to prove himself in secretive operations."

Oopsie! Accidentally murdered him and cut him up with a bonesaw. I mean, who hadn't done that? I know I have.

This article from a couple of years ago says Khashoggi was banned from Saudi Arabia for writing an article that criticised Donald Trump

Let's also never forget that the man who ordered the murder (sorry, accidental murder and dismemberment) is the same man that Jared Kushner gave classified information to who then used that information to purge (aka non-accidentally murder) dissidents. The man that Kushner reportedly considers a friend, and who reportedly has bragged about having Kushner "in [his] pocket".

Still, it's accidental, and probably carried out by rogue killers, so what does it matter?

The fact that Trump junior and senior as well as Kushner are all claiming that Saudi Arabia is basically innocent strongly indicates that there is more at stake than the freedom and safety of the Press: personal wealth.
