... It's that time again. Indiana has purged no less than 20,000 voters in violation of a federal court order.

No less... but how many potentially?

A team of database experts, statisticians, lawyers and investigators working with the Palast Investigative Fund discovered — and Indiana now admits — that these thousands of voters were cancelled in violation of a June 2018 federal court order that barred the state from using the notorious Interstate Crosscheck purge list sent to state officials by Kris Kobach, Secretary of State of Kansas.

The court order stemmed from a suit by the NAACP and League of Woman Voters against a 2017 Indiana law ordering counties to remove voters if they appear on Kobach’s list which purports to identify voters who have left the state. The NAACP and League cited the Palast team’s evidence in our 2016 Rolling Stone article showing that Crosscheck is overwhelmingly wrong in identifying voters who have moved — and extremely racist in operation.

Altogether, Indiana cancelled the registrations of a mind-boggling 469,000 voters, the majority using suspect methods.

The problems, say our experts, go way beyond the violation of the federal court order. A name-by-name analysis indicates the vast majority of the nearly half million purged remain Indiana residents who should not have lost their rights..

If true, this probably deserves to be on the frontpage of everyone's news. And anyone here who knows people in Indiana should likely tell them to check their registrations.


In much lesser news... Republicans pose as 'Communists' to try to smear AZ Democratic Congressman with phony donation

Republican field staffers in Arizona, evidently panicked at the prospect of a Democratic takeover of the House, hatched a plan to smear first-term Democrat Tom O’Halleran—currently leading his GOP opponent in the race for Arizona's 1st Congressional District—by showing up at his campaign office and pretending to offer a donation on behalf of the “Northern Arizona University Communist Party."

On Friday afternoon, two men who called themselves Jose Rosales and Ahmahd Sadia walked into the campaign office of first-term Democrat Tom O’Halleran with $39.68 and an urgent desire for the Northern Arizona University Communist party to be given a receipt for the donation.

Really short version, they lied about a bunch of things, including their names. Making federal campaign contributions under a false name is a crime. These are Republicans who, yet again, consider themselves to be above the law.

Oh, and because someone is an actual thin-skinned narcissist... The Trump Administration is trying to arbitrarily restrict protesting in D.C.

If you value the First Amendment, make a comment in opposition to this by the 15th.

And one more for today... Wardlow says he'd fire Democrats in Minnesota AG's office.

"It's really exciting now to be in a position for the first time in a half century to take this office back," Wardlow said. "We're going to fire 42 Democratic attorneys right off the bat and get Republican attorneys in there."

His promise to clean out Democrats from the state's top law enforcement office stands in contrast to his campaign promise that he wouldn't be partisan. Wardlow has repeatedly criticized Democratic candidate Keith Ellison for being too political.

Since a few months ago Jared Kushner gave the Saudis classified information identifying people who opposed them and thereby allowing them to begin a purge, I don't see why this should come as a surprise to anybody.
