Can we just stop with the Hitler comparisons?

In the past 70 years has a single person ever said “Ah, yes, now that you have pointed out the very many similarities between Adolph Hitler and the politician I support, I can see I was completely wrong; I will withdraw my support in an immediate and unqualified manner. Thank you for taking the time to show me how mistaken I was”?

lol.

I agree. I dislike Trump because he is a complete knob.

Even Obama could admit it, and condemn it?

Yup. There was definite wrong going on, after all, and of course Obama would be unhappy about wrongdoing coming to his attention. It's just not quite the wrong that the right wants to claim after actual investigation.

Wikipedia's got a decent overview, regardless.

Of particular note, of course is...

Second Inspector General's report

In late September 2017, an exhaustive report by the Treasury Department's inspector general found that from 2004 to 2013, the IRS used both conservative and liberal keywords to choose targets for further scrutiny, blunting claims that the issue had been an Obama-era partisan scandal.[2][3] The 115 page report confirmed the findings of the prior 2013 report that some conservative organizations had been unfairly targeted, but also found that the pattern of misconduct had been ongoing since 2004 and was non-partisan in nature.

Please do tell. Go on...

What do you perceive is the problem or is relevant to Hitler? (who was a socialist?)

To me this looks more like: liberal tears. They didn't get their way and the policies they support aren't first in line. Comparing Trump to Hitler is beyond insulting. You should be ashamed.

Did you miss the part where Dolt 45 was elected president using white supremacism as his central message? Only happened a couple of years ago, so...were you asleep?

Have you not heard of the concentration camps he has set up on the southern border? Or are you simply in favor of that?

The "X is just like Hitler" card gets thrown around a lot, but for once we actually have a politician who fits the bill.

None of us think Trump will start another Holocaust or world war, of course, though I guess many are less certain about the last one, but the similarities are there, and the way he deliberately chips away at democracy, trust in journalism, and American alliances and agreements is deeply concerning. He's not just a bad leader, he is doing actual, lasting damage.

Okay, understand this.

I absolutely believe that Dolt 45, or his followers, are out to oppress nonwhite people in the US, in order to enrich himself. He is, absolutely, a white supremacist, and if it comes down to it, yes he would absolutely start another Holocaust.

Trump isn't Hitler - but not for lack of trying.

Anyone doubt that, given the power, Trump would throw unwanted journalists in jail and cancel the Russia probe?

I think that this will happen with a little more time if Democrats don't take back some of the power this November.

How do you feel about the liberal mobs going around harassing Senators and Reps? How do you feel about Maxine Waters telling her followers this...

Yeah, what about this?

What about that?

What about the other thing?

When bad behavior is indefensible, the only recourse seems to be “what-about-ism”. At best, it points out hypocrisy. But it does not directly address the issue at hand.

Is social media censoring liberal pages and banning liberal users based on their political views? Because that is certainly happening to conservatives. Yet many here want to talk about "what could happen under Trump to liberals"

Open your eyes.

*snort*

Social media is not cracking down on conservatives. It is cracking down on users that don't follow the rules. It isn't social media's fault that conservatives are degenerates.

River, only the State can censor.

What you are asking is for media companies to fund right-wing commentators out of their own pockets - because advertisers won't do it anymore.

No one is stopping right-wingers to set up their own platforms and run their own pages - that would be censorship.

My bold is false. However, you are correct in that they are social media platforms, not state entities. Are you OK with social media censoring conservatives in these ways? Or do you think it's wrong?

All I have to say is, be careful what you wish for, and I hope yo enjoy swallowing what you feed to others.

This meme is kinda funny. but also kinda accurate. I'll say the same to you that I have to others on this topic. If you're OK with it, don't cry when it happens in reciprocal fashion. Also, don't cry when government steps in and regulates. (its going to happen)

You know what social media cracks down on? Hate speech. If Republicans are disproportionately being banned, then were I a Republican I'd find that cause for self-reflection.
