Nice to see that a glorified Republican political operative credibly accused of sexual assault and who perjured himself before the Senate Judiciary Committee is on the Supreme Court. Well done.

No you'd rather they have unwanted children? That we have millions of single mothers who have to depend on AFDC and forgo education not to mention all the other costly ills we could have prevented?

Not me. Abstinence is the mirage of morons. I want more than anything universal free birth control. As I'd rather pay for that then pay to raise your kid.

He has been a judge on the DC Circuit for 12 years, the accusations against him were not credible and the charges of perjury are laughable.

I'm pretty sure it's already a no-no from a legal point of view. IIRC Planned Parenthood for one consistently has to explain how none of the federal & state funds they recieve are used for their abortion services.

Oh, and Missouri has just been added to the list of US states with only a single abortion clinic left.

I'm not a bible thumper, and not against abortion or birth control. (although late stage abortions should be highly regulated for emergency purposes only IMHO) As long as those funds are not government supported or assisted I'm fine with people being able to have birth control, or abortion services.

What is the problem with government supported birth control and abortions?

Do you think alcoholics, drug addicts or morbidly obese should never receive government support because, after all, they did it to themselves, right?

We're not talking me. We're talking about 13 to 20 year old boys and girls hopped up on testosterone and estrogen. We're talking about the children they inevitably will have that they couldn't possibly have the resources to raise.

Birth control is pretty cheap, not much reason for government to support it in general. Abortion shouldn't generally be paid for by the government because a very large fraction of the population opposes it very strongly, and this being a democracy, that's what our democratic process has determined.

This is a principle damn it! I don't care that it ruins lives and in the end is 1000 times more costly to taxpayers.
They had sex so they have to live with the consequences. They had theur fun, now love with history.
