You changed my deliberate typo!!![]()
Sorry, I didn't think it was deliberate. Mea Culpa.
You changed my deliberate typo!!![]()
I think in some people's minds the two are conflated. There is also a difference between "I don't remember" and "it did not happen". Some people have difficulty with that.
If my wedding had conflicted with a vote on a Supreme Court nominee, I'm pretty sure I would have been walking up the aisle alone. In a devious plot to upset the math and prediction bets:
Sorry, I didn't think it was deliberate. Mea Culpa.
Obviously, you weren't thanking either![]()
It's speculation. Another one of those duty-to-warn articles/letters.What's the deal with thinking that Kavanaugh is still a heavy boozer?
You are forgetting the fact that it makes no sense the way it is written.
"Have you farted yet?" doesn't make any sense
"Have you ****** a girl up the **** yet?" does make sense
Boy, you really aren’t thanking are you?
Booferism is no way to go through life, son.
Your link says teachers, is there a source that says the letter included 'teachers' and professors? And do they have these said teachers in law schools? It says teachers in my link, which may include non-professors, so the denominator is probably smaller to a certain degree, and hence the percentage of professors even higher.
So Ford is a liar with no evidence and Kavanaugh is truthful despite lots of evidence. Got it.Wrong as usual. The only person I've really called a liar is Ford. ...
Yes, cherry picking confirmation bias.I just linked to independent proof that "boof" is used to mean "fart". ....
Hilarious! Appeal to popularity stacked on top of appeal to authority.

Do you remember if your drinking caused a dramatic shift in your personality? It is one of many features that are considering warning signs of alcoholism.
That word "alcoholic" is out of fashion now; plenty of people find they're able to moderate as the years go by. But then there really are people who just shouldn't drink. I have no idea if Kavanaugh is one of them.
You do know the SCOTUS is part of those checks and balances, right? And you are talking about 2 years of keeping Trump in check vs Kavanaugh's lifetime appointment.Maybe not all of them ...
But seriously: I'm thinking almost entirely in terms of the midterm elections. If the Dems have any chance for a Senate majority, I would hate to see that jeopardized. Otherwise, if there's a new court opening, we have the same president and the same Senate. I'm for whatever maximizes the chances of restoring checks and balances in federal government.
Expect Flake to be Pence's VP pick or a POTUS candidate himself in the next election after Trump.I wish Jeff Flake would leave the party entirely.
Most people didn't brag about tossing when they drink. Most didn't write letters to people meeting them for a vacation to warn the neighbors. Most don't have friends that remember they were sloppy mean drunks. What's the deal with thinking that Kavanaugh is still a heavy boozer?...
Most of us didn't become alcoholics. I'll bet that today I drink about 20 beers per year, and maybe three shots of whiskey. My alcohol use gradually dropped off over the years, as one might expect for someone who is not an alcoholic. I don't see any reason to think that Brett has an alcohol problem today.

I'm sorry. I can imagine Flake winning a Presidential election but not Pence.

I get it. But maybe Kavanaugh could be watered down some by other appointees. I keep thinking the GOP is going to realize, soon, that the only demographic they appeal to is shrinking. But then I have a 26-year-old nephew who loves Trump, so maybe I'm wrong. You do know the SCOTUS is part of those checks and balances, right? The reason I want Flake to leave the party is so that he never has to pander to Republican primary voters. I can't see a moderate Republican ever getting the nomination. It's amazing that McCain did in 2008, but I could tell at the time he couldn't bring himself to be bloody-minded enough to energize those bozos at the polls.but can you see Pence winning the Nomination, but not Flake?
