New SCOTUS Judge II: The Wrath of Kavanaugh

Question: On Kav's calendar he mentions a get together for some "skis" (beer) at "Timmy's house". Has the FBI looked up the address of Timmy's former house and seen if it matches Ford's description (narrow stairs going up to a bathroom directly across the hall from the bedroom)?

If it does, that could add more support to Ford's story. If it doesn't, it rules out the assault happening there.

Someone in this thread (probably TBD or The Prestige) posted a link to a letter that allegedly came from Ford's ex-boyfriend who claimed the doctor had coached someone on how to take a polygraph in contradiction of Ford's testimony. The woman was named in the letter. That woman has issued a statement refuting the claim.

Faux News must be getting desperate - making up stuff out of whole cloth.

...oh, hang on. That's SOP for them - what was I thinking?

See the sentence about "inane back and forth". I'll see if I can see the questioning on youtube.

For what it's worth, Mitchell's questions were theater, too. I just don't think they were theater that were aimed at character assassination, as was the case with the Democrats.

With respect, your argument is shifting between uninformed and nebulous. You were very insistent about this whole "perjury trap" thing, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the tone of questioning. Your criteria for this trap has not been entirely clear.

It seems like you have some kind of gripe regarding Democrat tone in this process. If you think the progressives were being mean, just say so. The perjury trap angle was way off the mark.

I mean, after several posts you finally acknowledged that blackouts were a relevant topic to question Kavanaugh about.

Not exactly.

I watched Mitchell's questioning. I think it was too much. Most of it was just going through each element of Ford's allegation, so that he could say no to it, but it went beyond that.

I suppose there might be some people who would suggest that it was simply anticipation of others' questions. I don't know. I guess you'll have to judge.

This thread is 40 pages long. I've read all of them, I believe. I do not recall you citing exactly what questions the Dems asked or what statements they made that were so horrible.

No, you are not on trial. Neither was Kav. But asking for you to point out exactly what you believe is the appalling behavior of the Dems is certainly not unreasonable.

ETA: I agree with Cabbage.

Asking him about his high school yearbook. Trying to wring something out of a statement about an event that occurred at least four years after the alleged incidents. I mentioned those. Do you want specific questions from specific senators, with youtube links and timestamps? Not going to happen.

Meadmaker, should I expect a link to your post(s) detailing exactly what you found so objectionable about the Dems on Thursday?

If you can't trust an ex-boyfriend, who can you trust?

Just goes to show that both sides are perfectly willing to wallow in the pigsty of character assassination.

This is a rabbit hole we don't need to go down. Ford's memory to the details doesn't matter.

I remember with perfect clarity nuns from my childhood beating the **** out of me or the nuns beating the **** out of other children while I watched. I remember with perfect clarity being in first grade when a nun hit me upside the head with a closed fist (like a hammer blow) and getting a bloody nose. I don't remember what we did for afternoon activity (we had music, art of PE in the afternoons). I don't remember what I had for lunch. I don't remember if we stopped on the way home for anything. I just remember a day in 1st grade when a nun hit me so hard my nose bled some time during that year. I remember watching the same nun beat the **** out of a little girl who wet herself because he was afraid to ask for a hall pass. I remember the girl saying "stop" while she was crying and that making the nun go crazy and beat her more. I'm sure she doesn't remember what she had for lunch that day or any other detail.

The extraneous details don't mean anything because you don't remember them after trauma. You remember the trauma with perfect clarity and the rest is just hazy.

If the FBI can corroborate Ford's allegations, all Americans should thank her for sacrificing her private life to protect the integrity and reputation of the highest Court in the land.

As near as I can tell, they asked questions relative to Kavanaugh's suitability regarding the job he was interviewing for. Meadmaker did not approve.

Some of it was perjury trap. Some of it was character assassination. There was some overlap I don't always mention every one in every post.

BREAKING: Capitol Police Arrest 27-Year-Old Democrat Staffer Jackson Cosko For Doxxing 3 GOP Senators

"Capitol Police arrested 27-year-old Jackson Cosko of DC for allegedly posting private, identifying information (doxxing) about one or more United States Senators.

"Shortly after Lindsey Graham went off on Senate Democrats for destroying Kavanaugh’s life in order to derail his confirmation, Republicans were doxxed.

"The victims included Republican Senators Mike Lee, Orrin Hatch and Lindsey Graham, reported the Washington Times.

"Jackson Cosko worked for Dem Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee."

What question, specifically, was a perjury trap? I doubt that such a thing actually exists. It has been noted numerous times in this thread that the simple way to avoid perjury is to tell the truth.

Wow... the Dems and their sociopath staffers are spinning out of control.

Maybe they'll learn to be more critical when reviewing Trump nominees.
