New SCOTUS Judge II: The Wrath of Kavanaugh

Grassley sent a letter to Ford's lawyer requesting copies of the therapists notes that they have been relying on as "corroboration," and a portion of which they allegedly showed the waPo.

They have refused. One should take from that the notes are actually not at corroboration, and the inference is that they are not helpful to Ford.

So stick a fork in them, she done.

Who would have thought the gal passed out drunk on the floor would have been the most "credible" of the three?

I'm not seeing a refusal noted in any of the articles about Grassley's demand, including those only a few hours old, so if this is true, it must be breaking news and a link would be appreciated.

That said, given the FBI is investigating the case, I imagine they would be the more appropriate place to send any information.

If Ford's legal team is indeed withholding these notes from all parties, then that might indeed warrant an explanation.

Given that many on the right would be happy to destroy Ford on any pretext imaginable, I can imagine a hesitancy to give directly to those same people psychological notes about one's deeper problems and a low level of trust that those same people would treat the documents fairly and thoughtfully in their redacting of unrelated information.

The appropriate recipient of those notes would be the FBI investigators.

Well, seeing as how she already showed them to the WaPo, and testified about them, it is a bit late to start being hesitant about showing them. Lets take a look:

Ford: He assaulted me and I told my therapist about it and I have the notes to prove it.
Reasonable person: can we see them?
Ford: No.
RP: GTFO

She has not provided them to the FBI either, of course.

Oh dear, you believe that don't you? Well, first of all Avenatti is a grifter (and a man!) and he has refused to provide the information he claims he has, while at the same sending out tweets claiming he is trying to cooperate.

Second, y'all see the NBC interview with his gal? Yeah, take a deep dive into that exercise in totally contradicting the statement.

Third, Bottom line: Next time someone in the press repeats D claims that nobody is evaluating the Swetnick claims, just laugh. Given how absurd the claims are, that Judiciary is dealing with them at all is a a testament to its good faith effort to investigate.

Republicans like yourself keep insisting this is all some heinous liberal conspiracy built on lies and character assassination. Seems to me the best way to unravel such a dastardly scheme is to go after its participants and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.

Swetnick made her claims in a sworn affidavit. To lie in a sworn affidavit is a felony. According to Republicans like yourself, she’s a blatant liar. Sounds like easy pickins.

Yet your mancrush Mike Davis just announced to the world that the Chairman of Senate Judiciary Committee has no interest in pursuing the obvious course of action to bring down this fiendish plot.

Hesitant about WHO she shows them to. And how.

>She has not provided them to the FBI either, of course.

Source? I imagine that there may be a pause for her and her lawyers to consider how to hand over documents in a way that does not create risk of attacks on her based on unrelated information. Again, if she entirely refuses to provide them to the FBI, that warrants a serious explanation.

The Big Dog doesn't like to provide links, for one of two reasons. Either it's because what he's talking about isn't actually what he's claiming it is, or it's because he wants you to ask him for a link so that he can call you stupid for not providing one yourself.

What's TBD claiming? That somehow the victim of attempted rape should reveal her private medical notes to an opponent who has rubbished her previously, instead of to the independent official inquiry by the FBI? Really? Do you think s/he is serious?

Odd, you literally did not respond to a single thing I posted.

Lets break this down: did you see the NBC interview: Yes__ No___

Did you read the link I gave you outlining the numerous steps that have been taken to investigate the claim and the history of Avenatti's refusal to cooperate: Yes __ No__

easey peasy!

seems like the kind of thing an unconstrained FBI investigation could find out. That must be why the Republicans were so keen on the idea.

Oh, that has got to smart. Oof, talk about self inflicted damage.

HI! She brought up the notes, and is refusing to provide them to anyone.

Did she provide the notes to the FBI?

Yes__ No__
