Cont: The Trump Presidency IX: Nein, Nein!

It certainly ties in with the idea that gets floated occasionally, that his run for president was meant to launch Trump TV when he inevitably failed. It would be further to to the right of Fox News and would be even more hysterical about the 'deep state' that had prevented Trump from winning the election.
Even if that was Trump's vision he'll have made no preparations for the new channel, so we'll never know.

You mean like infowars???

Hm, my spider senses are tingling...

Maaaybe he's orchestrated the Alex Jones shutdown so he can buy out said enterprise (and I use the term loosely), and so launch his own channel pre-populated with his existing base!

It all makes a weird type of sense.

I hope we get to find out if you're right.

Well... given that Pence has been lying about his knowledge and involvement when it comes to various things all along? I'd say that it's rather likely that if Trump goes, he'll be out too. If that happens after the midterms, we might end up with a President Pelosi for a bit... much as the prospect of having Pelosi as President would likely make it even more unlikely that the Senate Republicans would actually vote to remove the President, regardless of how openly treasonous he may choose to be.

Coming back to the idea of Trump as God Emperor... can we use that as an excuse to embed him in a life-support throne and put him somewhere deep underground?

Sure, if you want to make the earth vomit.

Fair point. Which only made me think it wouldn't be out of character for Trump to go through the charades of raising funds, etc. and then never going through with it, while still pocketing the money.

This guy paid his son's Scout membership out of his charity's funds. It's pathological.

Yes.

Your post was a response to KDLarsen’s post, but pointing out how pathological President Trump is an appropriate and informative response to many of the previous posts.

Well, it's OK then, although it kinda displaces the effort to other people. I would rather think such kind of topic had to be covered by high school education everywhere, but if that's not the case in your country, it's all right.

I can safely assume then that your high school education included specifics of the census rules in every country, right?

There's no such thing as hyperbole when describing the horrors of Dump's administration.

[pedant mode]There certainly is. That there's so much truth in what would have been hyperbole for other administrations is a massive problem, but it doesn't mean that hyperbole cannot be hyperbole if the Trump administration is involved.[/pedant mode]

As for the money thing... Maybe. There's also the obvious option that he's just really greedy.

I have read that Trump hates tears, makes someone look weak.

Kavanaugh is an angry, pouting, sniffling little punk and is making a fool of himself.

I was thinking about that when I was watching Ford testify. It must have irritated Trump to no end to see such a compelling witness against his guy from such a weak little creature.

He did seem cheered up by Bart's angry defiance though.

That's petrifying. How anyone could justify that, I have no idea. I'd really like to see someone try.

Also, I was thinking "I'm from the government and Im here to help" while reading this bit:

"Every year the Sammies – as Stier called them, in honour of his original patron – attracted a few more celebrities and a bit more media attention. And every year, the list of achievements was mind-blowing. A guy in the energy department (Frazer Lockhart) organised the first successful cleanup of a nuclear weapons factory, in Rocky Flats, Colorado, and had brought it in 60 years early and $30bn under budget. A woman at the Federal Trade Commission (Eileen Harrington) had built the Do Not Call Registry, which spared the entire country from trillions of irritating sales pitches. A National Institutes of Health researcher (Steven Rosenberg) had pioneered immunotherapy, which had successfully treated previously incurable cancers. There were hundreds of fantastically important success stories in the US government. They just never got told."
