So Trump is demanding that the NYT turn over Deep Throat 2 in the name of "National Security".
Good luck with that. He does not have leg to stand on. No official secrests or documents were revealed.
At least with the Pentagon Papers,you could have an argument the leaking Top Secret papers was a bad precedent..even if the papers should never have been given that classification. Trump does not even have that.

I love that Trump is this stupid. It's stunning that he thinks that they would or should. There is a reason that the Times printed it anonymously. If he really wants to protect National Security, try resigning.

I don't think they would have done that, but not only did this administration think that no one would care about them stealing children, but Trump advocated for the military to target slaves and rape victims in order to beat ISIS.

So...it isn't that the idea is too evil supporting my view they wouldn't have killed the kids.

How is it possible that we have a president who openly aligns himself in any way with a brutal dictator? Even the most cynical past president engaging in realpolitik would speak in platitudes about "stability," and even then only when forced to do so by a particular event or question.

I don't think South Korea can publicly express how they feel about this. The United States is literally the line between them and Seoul being devastated within hours by artillery fire (setting aside the possibility of NK nukes being utilized). It's beyond disturbing that any elected official, let alone the one occupying the Oval Office, would consider damaging our relationship with South Korea in a transparent effort to cozy up to North Korea. I mean, damn, talk about not in the US interest! North Korea has nothing we need or want.
