Cont: The Trump Presidency IX: Nein, Nein!

Pence is the one who's known to use the word "loadstar".

Pence is the deep state!

I said it before, I'll say it again:

Definition of Deep State:

People left in federal government who still have a conscience.

Pence is the only who was brought in at the beginning and is still there, isn't he?

.@PressSec: "The individual behind this piece has chosen to deceive, rather than support, the duly elected President of the United States. He is not putting country first, but putting himself and his ego ahead of the will of the American people."

Nothing is unspinnable. No matter how badly you have been caught out, deny, distract and obfuscate and the true believers will defend you. And one of the best attacks seems to be accusing your critics of your own missdeed. Here, “putting ego ahead of the will of the American people.”

A lesson that every cheap spirit medium caught holding the “floating” trumpet when the lights are turned on should know.

I'm sure people have already begun subjecting the article to stylometric analysis and will uncover the identity of this traitor. No surprise that we have people in the White House actively working against the President's agenda. Bush-McCain elites thwarting the will ~26% of eligible AMERICAN voters who chose To Make America Great Again. Contrary to what anonymous claims, the Deep State is real.

Trump hires only the best people. He has the most disloyal staff in White House history. But is it a surprise when he is disloyal to everyone around him?

Trump loves the rallies and the attention and all the pomp and circumstance. But he has ZERO capacity for the job. He's beyond lazy and is being used to do horrible and stupid things. He doesn't have a clue about the Constitution or ramifications of any of policies.

Someone compared him with Cersei on Game of Thrones; very good at maneuvering and seizing power, but once she has it is clueless as to how to use it.

Color me shocked, but happily so.

I thought the call to armed resistance was conditional on Trump actually doing something to change the laws, not in response to his official tweet calling for a change to the laws. Maybe I misread it. eta: Nope, I didn't.

This. I see armed resistence only if Trump succeeds in getting congress and the supreme court to go along with trampling of basic constitutional liberties. Then it becomes fighting back by any means necessary.

And of course the irony is that Trump wrath is just going to mean even bigger sales for Woodward's book when it comes out next week...he is giving Woorward the kind of marketing and publicity that Woodward could not afford to buy in a million years. You think a guy who thinks he is such a marketing genius would know better.

The article looks to be written by someone deeply concerned with 'morality' so Pence certainly makes the list. Many have opined that Pence believes this job is his destiny to being President - and bringing America back to a Christian foundation. People have also pointed out the use of the word 'lodestar' as one Pence uses.

Though it would seem treasonous for the man who would assume the office to write of actively undermining the current president's agenda- no matter his intentions.

I think I'd rather have some bubble wrap in the china shop for Trump than Pence and his bible prophesy study group running things "Gods way". ugh.

I don't think this anon writer can stay hidden very long.

I could almost buy that the purpose of the guy writing the op ed was to send Trump over the edge so that even the craven Republicans in congress would have to do something...

This - but - if the general consensus is that Pence wrote it, it would be a great way to set up Pence for Trump's wrath.

On the other hand, who really stands to gain more from "Trump is incompetent but we must stay the course" than Mike Pence?

If we are going Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, maybe Megan McCain speech at the father funeral is a Mark Antony at Caesar's funeral equivalent.

Not sure actually if the cheap spectacle at the White House deserves to be put on a Shakespearean pedestal. I am eerily reminded of another, less classical stage production:

(An Evanka, may she be just behind the horizon as we speak?)
