For reference: The "shouty guy"? Michael Eric Dyson, a reverend and a professor. ANd one who understood exactly what the occasion of the passing of a civil rights backer called for, and was fully up for it.

Unlike a certain Atlanta-based pastor who decided to chide LGBT people and "single mothers" at a funeral for a single mother...

Well, either the whole thing is entirely made up, or a lot of people who have worked with Trump think he's an absolute moron. I expect they just can't operate on his level.

My favourite passage is this one:

Woodward focuses on the chaos, but seemingly ignores the policy. He, like most Democrats, misses the forest for the trees. Trump is smart, possibly brilliant. The more you mock him, the more you denigrate him, the more he taunts you back and makes you lose your cool. Meanwhile, somehow, he has been incredibly successful. Regardless how we got here, we have amazing economic success and accomplishments, and there appears to be no limit to the upside. Economic growth may exceed 5% next year, with massive benefits for all Americans. Woodward's book will be an amusing read for never-Trumpers, but will make zero difference electorally. Trump supporters see right through it, and even the Democrats must realize it's a loser's game. At a certain point, mocking and denigrating the President is just unseemly and unpatriotic. So keep right on going, liberals; you're digging your own graves!

Given the level of outrage that he manages to generate in himself when people point out his lies, I think he does buy into most of them.

But as we are often assured that there is no reason to doubt his mental health, that can't be right.

Trump did say one of the people mentioned told so as usual he confirms his own lies.
 
The audio of Woodward-Trump tells you all you need to know: skip the book.
Trump is effectively a puppet president who only gets the intel that his handlers think he can manage without doing something totally stupid. And the way Kellyanne talks, it seems that it is Kelly who decides what the president gets told and who he gets to see.
Trumpsters must be so proud.
