"Still can’t believe that Bloomberg violated a firm OFF THE RECORD statement. Will they put out an apology?"

It was the Toronto Star not Bloomburg that reported his 'off the record' statement.

How can he think that any statement he makes on foreign policy is 'off the record'?

What an idiot.

By Jove! I think Belz... might have come up with the explanation.

As I understand it...

If everyone there agrees that it's off the record, then professional courtesy usually dictates that it is.

I assume there are exceptions - a politician saying "I molest kids" is one where you just go to the authorities, as an example.

But since the Star reporter apparently didn't agree to keep things off the record, this is irrelevant.

A salacious gossip "dossier" paid for by his political opponent is not probable cause.

Then the GOP-ran investigation will be shut down immediately, right? After all, Sessions was appointed by Trump, as was Rosenstein and Wray. Mueller has been a life-long Republican. Republicans control Congress and the Presidency.

So, why is the GOP allowing the investigation to continue?

Thankfully, it wasn't.

What unreasonable search or seizure? What warrant? I bet that not a single warrant issued by Mueller and/or his team has cited the Steele dossier as the reason.

"There is no political necessity to keep Canada in the new NAFTA deal. If we don’t make a fair deal for the U.S. after decades of abuse, Canada will be out. Congress should not interfere w/ these negotiations or I will simply terminate NAFTA entirely & we will be far better off..."

"...Remember, NAFTA was one of the WORST Trade Deals ever made. The U.S. lost thousands of businesses and millions of jobs. We were far better off before NAFTA - should never have been signed. Even the Vat Tax was not accounted for. We make new deal or go back to pre-NAFTA!"

“You have a Fake Dossier, gathered by Steele, paid by the Clinton team to get information on Trump. The Dossier is Fake, nothing in it has been verified. It then filters into our American court system in order to spy on Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s political opponent......"

"....Donald Trump, and now we find out that there wasn’t even a hearing - that Donald Trump’s 4th Amendment right to privacy was signed away...and someone in there is swearing that this stuff is true, when it wasn’t? This is the scandal here - a police state.” Dan Bongino"

I see the Steele dossier as the equivalent of a tip-off that alerted authorities and thus led to further investigation. Kind of like the way one of a beat cop's 'snouts' might give him word of a heist that just went down.

But even then, if nothing else Papadopoulos' drunken admission to an Aussie diplomat was more than enough to open that door.

This clinging by Trumpettes to the notion that the Dossier is that upon which all else hinges is just farcical.

The Steele dossier may have got this thing rolling but more than anything it's all the lies told by everyone that spurred this on.

Trump keeps forgetting the Trump Tower meeting that was first denied and then lied about. He forgets that his felonious campaign chairman changed Republican platform planks regarding the Ukraine and Russia. He forgets that Flynn, Sessions, Kushner, and his son lied about Russian contacts.

He forgot his Helsinki meeting with Putin where his lips were so far up the Russian leader's ass that he could taste the Borscht. He forgot that he told intelligence and FBI leaders to go easy on Flynn, another convicted felon. And he forgot that he fired Comey because Comey wouldn't stop investigating Russia.

Really? No probable cause? Trump is like the teenager reeking of pot nervously telling the cop that the bong is for tobacco and please don't search the car.
