I appreciate your time and effort in putting that together. I trust that you did your best to convey your view of this situation. Well done?

My best, nah, I was watching like three games, playing video poker, and drinking beer while chatting with the wife and texting folks at the Bears game, plus the whole "their claims are so ridiculous, i think they are pulling the big dog's legs" was entering into it, so I gave it about 6%, I mean still enough to crush their argument, to see them fall at my feet — to take their horses and goods and hear the lamentation of their women.

I'm sure you thinks so. And that's all that really matters, isn't it. Go get yourself a gold star!

Wait, are you buying the argument that she was working covertly for the CIA as a school teacher before she was hired by the CIA and before she received a background check?

TBD: I find it hard to believe that this kind of information could be ascertained simply by looking at a post office application!

Dr. Keith: Would you like me to explain?

TBD: I would *love* to hear this!

Judge Chamberlain Haller: So would I!

No, I'm just still not sure what your position is other than:

1) I Won!
2) PAC are Heroes!

I guess I could add that you really want to write bad courtroom dramas, but I'm trying not to encourage that behavior.

But you.... just quoted it....

"Sure, the assertion that her USPS application showed a covert job while she worked for the CIA is spectacular nonsense because she applied for the CIA and USPS at the same time.

Plus, are we really thinking that people who could not find the USPS statement taking full responsibility managed to find a covert job?"

I'd love to walk you through it because it seems totally straightforward.

/by the way, the dialog was adopted from My Cousin Vinny.

I don't know how you bear this conversation Keith. It's never an intellectually honest conversation with this one. It's hooray for our side, the ends justify the means, double standards and drowning hypocrisy. Republican and Trump good and honest. And anyone who takes a contradictory stance is bad.

Meanwhile, and thanks to Liverpoolmiss on badscience for the heads-up

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ate-sam-patten-is-charged-with-fara-violation

Meanwhile, for those who follow the minor characters in the series, another indictment. Sam Patten. An associate of Manafort who lobbied for Ukraine but didn't do the FARA disclosures. A technical charge, probably dealt with via a fine. Case started by Mueller & Co, but handed off to another team at some stage.

The usual set of interesting links:

- Patten worked for our old friend, Cambridge Analytica
- Patten is associated with Konstantin Kilimnik - who has ties to Russian intelligence (probably another GRU agent) and who has been linked by Mueller in court filings with 2016 meddling. Kilimnik is also the intermediary who acts for Oleg Deripaska

Unclear at this stage whether Patten squealed and this FARA charge is part of his agreement, or whether this is all Mueller & Co could get on him. He's up in court later, presumably to plead guilty.
Patten pleaded guilty. Squealing and/or has already squealed. No news yet on how good his manners are.

What is it you think she did for the CIA?
She actually had a covert job...for many years. Her friends thought she worked for the State Department. She was required to lie about her true occupation.

After 8½ years, her family moved to Henrico County in 2014 to put down roots and be near other family members. Nine months after moving back, her job was declassified and friends found out she worked for the CIA.

Catherine Pettit of Portland, Ore., who was a roommate of Spanberger’s at the University of Virginia and is a longtime friend, said she was stunned. Spanberger told her on the phone. Pettit thought she had worked for the State Department and recalls being silent because she was floored by the news.

According to you, waited tables and taught English at a school.

Before she was hired by the CIA.

And the monsters at a PAC exposed her covert job as an English teacher... that occurred before she was hired by the CIA.

Folks, this a trump thread, people tried to use this situation to muddy up Trump. I linked to an up to date article showing that it wads a pure **** up by the USPS. In desperation, people tried to double, triple down, by claiming that the PAC improperly exposed something private, and faced with the facts that they had not, we are actually reduced to people claiming that her job as a teacher might have been a covert job, which as i have patiently explained so many times i can hardly believe it is : PATENTLY ABSURD

It ain't like trump aint a target rich environment, let this silly tale of outrage go, for your sakes.

More goodly advice from TBD.

"Wow, I made OFF THE RECORD COMMENTS to Bloomberg concerning Canada, and this powerful understanding was BLATANTLY VIOLATED. Oh well, just more dishonest reporting. I am used to it. At least Canada knows where I stand!"

Trump said that any deal with Canada would be "totally on our terms".

"Here's the problem. If I say no - the answer's no," he said according to the report.

I . . I . . I can't even begin to grasp how stupid he is if he thinks that the President of the ******* United States can talk to the press in an "off the record" way. What in the world have you people done?
