The Trump Omoroasa dust up is fun, since I have nothing but contempt for both of them.

Oh there are so many of these they are hard to count or even recall. Trump has two teams: People Who Support Everything I Say or Do -- and -- Everybody else. And since the former group changes with every screw up he makes, the latter will include today people who weren't there yesterday.

Who do you root for in Trump v. Bannon? Trump v. Cruz? Trump v. Omarosa? Trump v. Cohen? Trump v. McConnell? Trump v. Sessions? Trump v. Rubio?

It's too much to hope for mutually assured destruction, so I'm always looking for a draw so the festivities can continue.

You left out Rosie O'Donnell. I'm on team Rosie. We are the sane team.

Poor Donald: mean Kelly fired his favorite female black sycophant, but there was nothing he could do. What power does poor Trump have compared to the mighty general?

In the end, the hand waving, the "don't look behind the curtain" ******** works. My nephew hates the commies(socialists), but loves the idea of turning immigrants into evil fanged monsters.

It's an "I'm here, go **** yourself" philosophy.

Trump Tweets

".@MarkBurnettTV called to say that there are NO TAPES of the Apprentice where I used such a terrible and disgusting word as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa. I don’t have that word in my vocabulary, and never have. She made it up. Look at her MANY recent quotes saying...."

"....such wonderful and powerful things about me - a true Champion of Civil Rights - until she got fired. Omarosa had Zero credibility with the Media (they didn’t want interviews) when she worked in the White House. Now that she says bad about me, they will talk to her. Fake News!"

Let's say there is a tape of him saying the "N" word. Let's say that tape has him saying it multiple times in reference to specific people along with other racial slurs. Then what?

IMO this would be a point to celebrate for his supporters. At worst it would be hand-waved indifference. The Trump administration has been doing far worse to those pesky darkies than calling them a few names and his sycophants are cheering him on. What real damage would it do to him?

That Republicans say things like this:
Candidate for Florida State House Admits She Lied About Graduating From College. It was not my intent to deceive or mislead anyone. I made a mistake in saying that I completed my degree. What I did was wrong and set a bad example for someone seeking public service. I am staying in the race and intend to win and lead by example from now on.”
... is an admission they speak the same way one has a bowel movement: trying not to think about it, while still producing toxic waste.

***
To take another example:
Trump: “America is a peaceful nation, but if conflict is forced upon us, we will fight and we will win,” Trump declared. “You better believe it, generals.”

Yeah, right. You believe that, you are in ostrich-class deep denial.

In Republican-speak (well, in Politician-speak, to be fair), "I made a mistake" means "I got caught". You don't make a mistake and manufacture a fake certificate of graduation with the wrong Dean's name and claiming a degree that that particular school does not offer. You lied and you got caught. And then when you got caught you doubled down and sat on the sofa with your loving mommy (who must know you're lying, also) and posed next to your fake degree.

Unfortunately, they're only to the primary and the other GOP guy will win and then he'll win the GE. It's western Florida, a safe GOP area.

So Giuliani thinks that Trump is guilty? This isn't just word games he is worried about or technicalities like what did you eat for breakfast on 3rd May at 8.00am.

Strictly speaking Giuliani knows Trump is incapable of being on the stand and not perjuring himself. And lying to Mueler might actually charged unlike merely lying under oath to congress which is the new normal for republicans.

American football was a mainstay of American culture. By blowing the kneeling thing out of proportion, he is using his selective patriotism to destroy that.

Bull in a China shop.

Revenge for not letting him in by absorbing the AFL. Remember first and foremost he is a punch backer.

I don't know how much credence I can place on Omarosa's words. She was fired from "The Apprentice" three times.

I'm not sure, either, but she's not the first person to make this claim. Which, of course, still doesn't make it true. The point here, really, is that we can't really take Mark Burnett's word that there never was such a tape, either.
