Yes they take your picture but I have two Costco cards in my wallet that don't have pictures. Also, they don't enforce the rule. I use to borrow my buddy's card all the time. If you pay with a credit or debit card it can be an issue, but with cash it is never a problem. Also you can go in with a member, but he has to make all the purchases.

I borrowed my sister's Costco card when mine had expired. No one even looked at the picture on the back and we look nothing alike. Not even the same hair color.

Well, Sarah Huckabee just said "When you bought beer and wine, I'm sure you had to show ID." Once again, moving the goalpost.

I recall only one instance where I ever had to show ID for alcohol. That was at the old Kingdome in Seattle where the policy was that everyone, including senior citizens, had to show ID to buy beer.

It could have been your brother's card. It wouldn't have mattered.

She is just admitting to being an alcoholic and that she can not go to the grocery store without buying liquor.

It's been a while since I had to show ID for buying anything without alcohol in it. Cash or credit.

Where I live (yes, in the U.S.) our grocery stores do not sell liquor, beer, or wine.

Ah it seems arkansas is not one of the states that sell liquor at gas stations. Only beer at grocery stores until very recently.

Though a strange dodge for teetoteler Trump to be thinking of buying beer at the grocery store.

Trump's fans are getting worked up against reporters at his rallies again.

Trump Rally Mob Threatens Reporters As CNN’s Jim Acosta Warns That Someone Is Going To Get Hurt
CNN’s Jim Acosta shot video of the crowd at Trump’s Tampa FL, behaving like a mob and threatening the press as the hate that Trump has whipped up looks likely to get someone hurt. ...

It is only a matter of time until the various scandals that are consuming Trump’s presidency force him to grow even more desperate. A rally crowd could easily be turned into a mob, and that mob could be inspired to act violently toward reporters who are only there to do their jobs.

The danger is real. The threat is ominous, but those who are committed to truth and bringing the light of truth to the people won’t be deterred by thuggery, no matter how ugly it becomes.

Tweet: Just a sample of the sad scene we faced at the Trump rally in Tampa. I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt. We should not treat our fellow Americans this way. The press is not the enemy. Video embedded.

Or the last time he went grocery shopping for himself was when they would make you show ID when paying with a check.

According to the comments following Acosta's Tweet above, the gist seems to be that CNN et al lied because Trump followers think they got polls wrong.

There's not a whole lot of anyone noting the lies come out of Trump's mouth and the contradictory lies come out of Trump's mouth and it's easy to prove simple facts Trump lies about... nothing to do with poll numbers.

This morning on Velshi and Ruhle, they had some business guy on. Ruhle asked, since Trump's economy numbers are good, why does Trump feel the need to lie about them? The business guy said Trump doesn't lie. The two of them, Velshi and Ruhle, both pointed out very specific lies Trump has said in the last couple days about his numbers being better than anyone. The business guy just kept staring with deer-in-the-headlights eyes. He could only say, Trump has his own facts. Ruhle said, "no, there are facts and not facts but not two sets of facts."

No matter how simple they made it, with proof Trump was a liar, the business guy just kept staring, unable to answer anything except Trump wasn't lying.

There's a point where you have to wonder, have these people truly lost their minds?

As for grocery ID, the larger stores around here no longer have you even sign anything. First it was only sign if it was over $25, then it was only if it is over $50. Now, it doesn't matter the amount.

And I never get carded for liquor, I'm obviously older than 21.

Damn, that's just insane.

Ah... we agree. [emoji14]

I'm glad it's out of every post, though I hope it's in your sig (which I have turned off in Tapa)... but that "We'll keep the gaslight on for you" quote is just... priceless. And so very sadly apt. :(

One commentator made the point that the foundation of Trump's success is not that he persuaded his supporters to believe him, but rather that he told them what they already believed. That's why so many of them keep saying "He talks like a real person," "He tells it like it is," etc. They didn't join him; he joined them. What we recognize as lies are what his supporters believe to be true.

This is true. This is like every religion. They are ALL ABSURDLY FALSE and yet the believers make excuse after excuse and repeat the dogma regardless of the evidence. They have their own facts. Like the Earth is flat, the Sun revolves around the Earth, the story of Genesis, the Koran, etc. etc...etc.
