I suspected it was just a matter of time.
President Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star was smashed to pieces.

President Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was destroyed by a man with a pickax early Wednesday morning, according to Los Angeles police officer Ray Brown.
Hollywood division officers responded to a call at 3:33 a.m. (6:33 a.m. ET) to the tourist area. LAPD said they have a man in custody and are currently questioning him. According to LAPD, a man turned himself in at the Beverly Hills Police Department Wednesday morning.

People have already been stomping on it, spitting on it, painting it, and allowing their dogs to relieve themselves on it. An artist built a wall around it, and another man attacked it with a sledgehammer in 2016.

#FakeNews

President Trump is the most beloved President ever.

That said, this kind of vandalism is not the right thing to do because it makes the "AntiFa" vandal the bad guy and the President a poor victim......

Maybe, in a narrow technical sense. But the press conference was watched live around the world, and Putin's response was a source of immediate comment and controversy. It's hard to believe that the White House didn't review the material before it was released, and somebody didn't say "Hey, where's that question that riled everybody up?"

You still find it hard to believe that incompetency and lying exists in the Trump White House?!!

You realize, I assume, that the WaPo is "fake news" and can't be trusted.

Also, Jeff Bezos.

:p

Thanks for that. I retract my comment.

As often is the case with this administration it's incompetence rather than planned.

I fail to see the explanation of the video editing in the article ? Can someone help me out ?

Nor has the WH corrected the transcript after a week of being put on notice that it is incorrect.

Also, I guess Russia was listening to the same feed as the Wapo, as they omit the question and answer entirely ?

I don't want to go all CT here, but the wapo article doesn't explain things very well, IMO.

Is that sarcasm or did someone at the WAPo actually buy that easily disproved koolaid?

I see a number of people in the thread are buying it. Seriously people.

Have they edited anything else where you couldn't hear the question?

Have you ever heard of editing the video to match the altered transcript?

Now that they know what the question was, are they correcting the transcript?

I'll leave the gaslight on for you.

Thank you. Restores my faith in the skeptical community.

Here’s the thing: That’s also how The Post’s transcript of the news conference initially read, too. Ours came from Bloomberg Government and ours, too, excluded the first part of the reporters question in which he begins, “President Putin, did you want President Trump to win the election”.

What happened? If you watch the videos, it’s pretty clear. At some point in the middle of that question, there’s a switch between the feed from the reporters and the feed from the translator. In the White House version of the video, you can hear the question being asked very faintly under the woman who is translating saying “president.”

You can hear the same audio in The Post’s feed, starting at about a minute in.

We did not edit the question out. This is the feed we were provided.
