McFaul's take on this :Trump may have *NO IDEA* what he agreed to.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...k-mulling-putin-interrogation-bid-mcfaul-saysMcFaul said Mueller’s indictment is full of “data and evidence,” while he called the Putin allegations a “cockamamie scheme.” He said he has lawyers and legal avenues to block the move if Trump grants Putin access. He called the episode shocking and said it will have a dampening effect on diplomacy.
“What I fear, because President Trump is probably not as conversant in these issues as he should be, or most certainly as conversant as Putin is, is that he probably just nodded along,” McFaul said. “That’s just perfect for Vladimir Putin.
Sorry, I misheard. However I can think of one guy in the House who would probably be OK with it.Who were the two who voted yes??![]()
Watch Trump start to call him "McFail."McFaul's take on this :
Yup. Advancing his personal agenda and making himself money, while everyone else can go **** themselves. That about sums it up.
However, the fact that Trump won’t be able to implement such a plan due to the extreme acrimony back home - much of it pure hyperbole - seems to indicate that Putin called Mueller’s bluff. After all, if there was any ironclad proof of Russian involvement in the ‘hacking’ of the DNC servers, there would be no hesitation on the part of US officials to travel to Russia and present it.
Trump has to go. My money's on the 25th Amendment.
I'll take that bet.
The only thing that will remove him from office before 2024 is a (heaven forbid!) medical event.
I am looking forward to Trump/Putin II, though.
Someone should keep watch on Lenin's Mausoleum to see if a smile breaks out on VI's lips when the modern-day Vlad takes a dump in the Oval Office toilet.
I wish I shared your optimism. The Dems need a charismatic candidate like Bill Clinton or Barack Obama. They aren't available, and I'm not seeing anyone else just now.I'd say there's less that a 50% chance he'll even be on the ballot in 2020, but if he is, virtually no chance of being reelected. Depending on his magic 40% is a serious error which I hope all Republicans will make.

I tend to agree with Trebuchet
...and believe when he says "Fake News".Like all elections, 2018 an 2020 will depend on two factors: voter opinions and turnout. Democrats know by now that it's virtually impossible to get Trump's 40% to change their opinion of this turd, so they will focus on that second factor. While there hasn't been much change in the "approve/disapprove" numbers, there has been a hardening: Trump's "strongly disapprove" number is now greater than 40%.
But my prediction is mainly based on where I think the Mueller investigation is going: I still believe that we will eventually find out why Trump is acting guilty as hell, and even low-information voters will know about it...
