He's got magic hands. :p

That song keeps popping up in my head when I think of Trump pretending he can and has cured every ill in the world.

...which are the fault of Obama and/or Hillary.:boggled:

It should have been obvious to everyone when Hillary and Obama founded NATO that they were up to something nefarious.

What? There are tapes of Trump paying off another of his floozies?

Poor Melania she must be so... I don't really care.

It's not like Melania is an innocent unsuspecting wife. She knew what Trump was about long before she married him. You really aren't very bright if you expect Donald to be loyal. That street only goes one way.

"So Melanie, what attracts you to the obese septuagenarian multimillionaire?"

I suppose it could be his personality rather than his looks.

Let me put this briefly:

Huh?

An idea of right and wrong is meaningless without the ability to enforce it. You can assert a right to my property all you want, but if you won't - or can't - come and take it, then your right is meaningless. When you reject "might" as the final arbiter of what is "right", I assume you have some higher authority in mind. What is that higher authority?

Erin Burnett says a fervent Trump supporter canceled an appearance because he couldn't defend the president's actions. Others are saying they've seen enthusiasm for 45 wane. Maybe we're finally turning a corner...

lol

Trump Tweets

"Farmers have been on a downward trend for 15 years. The price of soybeans has fallen 50% since 5 years before the Election. A big reason is bad (terrible) Trade Deals with other countries. They put on massive Tariffs and Barriers. Canada charges 275% on Dairy. Farmers will WIN!"

That one puzzles me. How are trade barriers lowering the price of soybeans? I've included the entire tweet in case there is a clue in there, other than just throwing in soybeans with general farm problems and dairy tariffs.

Maybe it's simple to blame Canada on dairy, but it's equally simple to blame lower soy exports on new tariffs. And I doubt if either issue is all that simple. I've been reading up on agricultural commodities to try to understand a little but it gets pretty dense.

It's going to be a great weekend to watch Trump suffer over the Cohen recordings. His sense of betrayal in that quote is just delicious.

No TV on the road, and I wouldn't watch The View anyway, but...

Something (???) happened this week on and off set between Whoopie and "Judge" Janine (sp?).

As I got the impression Da Judge didn't get bitch slapped, I didn't bother chasing down the story. (If there's a smarmier woman on TV, I've yet to come across her.)

Do post if it was actually interesting. [emoji14]

IMO It was nothing. They both said very predictable things, yammering over each other in exactly the same way panelists or hosts/guests yammer over each other all the time.

AIUI... it continued backstage. Very heatedly. How bad, I don't know, but sadly... no blows were struck. :D

I was just curious what position Janine held that set Whoopie off so badly (could be anything I suppose... the woman strikes me as a comic book villian.)

The straw that broke Whoopi's back was da judge said something about Trump derangement syndrome and Whoopi (paraphrasing and going off of memory so could be way off base) you bet I am deranged have you seen Trump? Then Whoopi kicked Judge J off the show.

We were talking about whether something is factually true or not. Your rant about Paleolithic ethics seems rather out of place.

Trump Tweets

"The NFL National Anthem Debate is alive and well again - can’t believe it! Isn’t it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart? The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand. First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!"

"I got severely criticized by the Fake News Media for being too nice to President Putin. In the Old Days they would call it Diplomacy. If I was loud & vicious, I would have been criticized for being too tough. Remember when they said I was too tough with Chairman Kim? Hypocrites!"

Not that it thrills me to defend Trump, but something happened to the "will Trump allow Russia to interrogate our ex-ambassador" narrative. Monday, I thought what Trump was talking about letting Russians work with U.S. investigators regarding "the 12 people." I thought he was talking about the 12 Russians under indictment. Trump gave no indication it was a quid pro quo for letting Russians interview McFaul and 11 other people (also conveniently "the 12").

Trump is so linguistically and cognitively challenged that it's really hard to tell what he was talking about in the press conference - which "12" he meant. But whichever he meant, he was apparently talking about only one of the proposals, or he was conflating two proposals into one.

Now almost universally the press seems to believe Trump was talking about the McFaul "12," not the Mueller "12." Asking him to clarify it would be futile, because a) he wouldn't answer (unless maybe Hannity asked) and b) he might not be able himself to clarify it. But if he did mean he was considering the Mueller "12," clarifying that might not be such a great idea either as it totally underscores his willingness to allow Russians to access/influence a U.S. criminal investigation and at the very least a terrifying naivety.

Trump would be frustrating for a "handler" (as Putin is) because you can't rely on him giving the message he's been told to give. IMO Trump was so unclear Monday that it's very hard which half of the proposal he was referring to.
