"While the NATO meeting in Brussels was an acknowledged triumph, with billions of dollars more being put up by member countries at a faster pace, the meeting with Russia may prove to be, in the long run, an even greater success. Many positive things will come out of that meeting.."

"....Russia has agreed to help with North Korea, where relationships with us are very good and the process is moving along. There is no rush, the sanctions remain! Big benefits and exciting future for North Korea at end of process!"

The Helsinki Summit is a great success for Trump : Putin won't release his tax returns and PeePee tape until the next meeting.

The Russian Defense Ministry tweets
"TheMOD is ready for the practical implementation of agreements in the area of global security reached in Helsinki between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump"

What agreements? Shouldn't people be told?

Since Americans don't seem to want the Space Force, Trump is going to give it to Moscow.

Frankly speaking I am not even sure that the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of State, the National Security Advisor and other Trump's key advisors have been told anything about this so far.

Later in the morning, Mr. Trump told aides he realized he needed to make a correction, according to the person who was briefed. His team met briefly to discuss what to say, and the speechwriter, Stephen Miller, drafted something that was rewritten several times. The vice president weighed in on it at one point before the president read his statement to reporters.

...

In Britain, Mr. Trump gave an interview to a British tabloid, The Sun, as a favor to its proprietor, Rupert Murdoch. Speaking on the eve of his meeting with Prime Minister Theresa May, he praised Mrs. May’s political nemesis, Boris Johnson, and condemned how she had handled the process of separating Britain from the European Union.

Mr. Trump appeared not to understand how explosive his words were until after he spoke to the newspaper. He was contrite when he saw Mrs. May, several people who witnessed their exchanges said. He had not planned to cause damage, but had done so, and it was hard to unwind it.

Now, Mr. Trump’s aides fear the worst is still to come. If the past is any guide, they said privately, Mr. Trump will spend the coming days digesting the continuing fallout from his encounter with Mr. Putin, and he will look for someone other than himself to blame.

A stable genius if i ever saw one.

Probably already posted, but in case:
I Was a White House Stenographer. Trump Wasn’t a Fan.
... when I recorded the president’s interview with Bill O’Reilly, I watched with disbelief as the White House communications director Hope Hicks summoned Mr. O’Reilly to the Oval Office so he could speak with Mr. Trump privately. In my five years with President Barack Obama, off-the-record discussions with reporters happened after work hours — not for an hour in the middle of the work day, and certainly not before an interview. When a president spoke on the record with a reporter, his staff made sure to have a stenographer present so there could be an official White House transcript, just in case the reporter came out with an inaccurate quotation. ...

Mr. Trump likes to call anyone who disagrees with him “fake news.” But if he’s really the victim of so much inaccurate reporting, why is he so averse to having the facts recorded and transcribed?

Because, just like his remaining supporters, all that matter are coin and power, which "truth" must serve loyally. There's no mystery to it; it's how mobsters, those on the payroll, and breathless sycophants roll. Just like in Russia.

He obviously got confused - as his grandfather was born in Germany - I guess he just misspoke again ;)

Sure. People confuse their father and their grandfather all the time.

According to the article, his grandfather went to the US and later returned to Germany but was ejected for refusing military service. I guess it's genetic.

The family's lack of scruples seems to be genetic, that's for certain.

Someone's gonna lose their phone privileges... again. :D

Maybe. But those tweets weren't written by Trump.

Whole sentences? Proper punctuation? Coherent themes and connected thoughts?

No way he wrote those himself.

"Congratulations to Martha Roby of The Great State of Alabama on her big GOP Primary win for Congress. My endorsement came appropriately late, but when it came the “flood gates” opened and you had the kind of landslide victory that you deserve. Enjoy!"
