So Trump has flipped and now accepts that Russia meddled in the US election, based on past efforts he should flip back within 48 hours. Also a tad pointless to change his rhetoric only after he had his little debrief with Putin.

*Tinfoil Hat On*

So when he's with Putin, it's not Russia's fault. We he's safely away from Putin, it is Russia's fault.

Why am I getting the woman with the black eye telling the doctor she walked into the door while her husband makes eye contact with her through the office window vibe?

On NATO: "I can tell you when I left, everyone was thrilled." No doubt true.

Says queen reviewed honor guard for first time in 70 years - she's been queen for 65.

ETA: "I have full faith in our intelligence agencies" (lights go out). In Patterson-Clinton's novel, cyber attackers make the White House lights flicker off and on to show their power to hack U.S. systems.

I'm late to this party, may be raising points already addressed.

Most of it would be tough to separate, but some things, like bases in the Pacific, etc., would have little to do with NATO and might take a significant chunk out of that 3.50% that gets touted about so much.

Is that necessarily bad though?

<snip>

I wasn't suggesting that it is bad, or even that it is good, for that manner.

My point was that using the 3.5% of GDP as a statistic establishing some sort of measure of virtue on the part of the U.S. regarding its participation in NATO is a misleading tactic.

So yeah, I guess, on that basis it is bad.

Jon Cooper tweets

"I meant to say I DIDN'T try and **** her. I DIDN'T move on her like a bitch. She’s NOT got the big phoney tits. I better NOT use some Tic Tacs just in case I DON'T start kissing her. When you’re a star, they DON'T let you do it. You CAN'T do anything. DON'T grab ’em by the pussy."

Trump should withdraw from NATO and enter into a military alliance with Russia. The ratings alone would be yuge. It would be more talked about than LeBron taking his talents to South Beach. We'd get along better with Putin than Europe. Putin's a real man. The only thing that's ever shrinked away from Merkel is a boner.

Reuters reporting U.S. Defence Secretary Jim Mattis is open to the possibility of talks between the defence chiefs of the United States and Russia, a move that would deepen communication between Washington and Moscow, U.S. officials said.

It should be noted that Trumps claim that he somehow managed to make countries cough up 33 billion dollars is completely baseless. As with just about everything Trump says it's a lie and complete crap. Both Merkel and Macron denied that anything but previously pledged commitments were affirmed. Trump has of course not bothered to elaborate.

In his closing press conference, Stoltenberg told reporters that NATO nations had committed an extra $41 billion in spending since Trump took office in January 2017. When pressed about the specifics of the agreement reported by Trump, the secretary general simply said the allies had agreed to “redouble our efforts” with “a new sense of urgency.”
From the campaign trail to the Oval Office, Trump has consistently complained that the U.S. pays too much toward the defense of Europe, branding the NATO system “unfair.” The president came to Brussels with a clear goal in mind: to get fellow alliance members to spend more. Whether he delivered on this or is taking credit for previous agreements is not yet clear.

Trump clearly believes he has scored a big win. “Stoltenberg gave us total credit, meaning me I guess,” he told reporters. As for the reaction of other leaders, Trump said, “Everybody in the room thanked me.”

But of course in post-truth America the president can make completely false claims every single day of year without facing anything but symbolic political repercussions from his allies in congress. That something like this is possible is proof that political institutions are degrading rapidly which is very worrying.

Ratings numbers
Piers Morgan's interview with Trump drew 1.2m for ITV.
On BBC1 at the same time Have I Got Old News for You, a repeat of a 2017 edition of Have I got News for You had 1.5m viewers.

From now on Trump is 'Traitor Trump'. That's his new nickname. I suggest all those who oppose Trump refer to him this way. What makes this good is that it is spot on.

I loved the moment where he said "I have total faith in my intelligence community", and the lights went out. No explanation given yet.
