What's fascinating is the mysterious Congressional candidate who asked for (and got!) stolen documents from Guccifer. How did this person know who to talk to and what to ask for???

That will come out in the trial, because they're doubtless going to be indicted, and won't it be fun to see which Republican it is.

ETA: Would it be criminal to ask to inspect some stolen merchandise that you know is stolen, and then pass up buying it?

Uh, yeah.

Business Insider
The indictment does not name the candidate or allude to whether they won their election. The party primaries would have been wrapped by August 2016, strongly suggesting that the person who requested hacked documents from the Russian operatives was a Republican.

USA Today
An unnamed congressional candidate sought hacked documents about his or her opponent in the 2016 election from Russian intelligence officers who were posing as an online activist, prosecutors working for special counsel Robert Mueller charged Friday.

Why are you even asking?

Alt-white pundit Michael [*] is on CNN now blaming Obama.

Sorry, can't recall this guy's name.

I'm not talking about the candidate who got the stolen emails. I'm talking about someone like Roger Stone, who may have asked to see a sample of stolen emails, then took a pass on doing a deal.
Whomever it is you are thinking about, it's still going to be an alt-white Republican.

In good Catholic fashion:

There are sins of commission...

And then there are sins of omission.

"The Russians are trying to undermine us. Well, let's just stand back and see what happens"

The person who was charged had nothing to do with trump AND had no idea that the people were using it in the way they allegedly did.

Yikes, tds causes the alt-leftists to say screw it to presumed innocent and just put them right up against the wall...

Yea....sure.... There is nothing there. It's all a witch hunt.

Trump has his lips so far pressed up on Putin's ass that he can taste what Vlad had for dinner ...yesterday. It's embarrassing listening to Trump and those around him lie so much.

so, y'all won't care if they do, do not, etc.

I would care. But if I had to rank preferences (if they are guilty), it would be convict, charge, then don't do anything.

They can't do the first one without the second. And I dont see why feasibility of the first should affect the order of charge and do nothing.

I'm unconvinced by nearly every indictment and conviction (and aquittal) in history.

Your cult leader told Russia to "hack" Hillary the same night they did. Just a coincidence, huh?

Nobody here is claiming that Richard Pinedo isn't a criminal. But even Mueller isn't claiming that he was trying to help the Russians rig the election.

Trump has his lips so far pressed up on Putin's ass that he can taste what Vlad had for dinner ...yesterday.

Which must be why he's asking NATO members to increase their military spending, and telling Germany to stop relying on Russian gas.

That's just what Putin wants.

ETA: oh, and you screwed up your joke. You'd need your lips farther up someone's ass to taste what they're having for dinner now.

Ignoring the silly cult leader comment, you are aware that I was the one in this thread that pointed out the timing eight hours ago, right?

Awesome!
