Oh man, the tu quoque personal attack.

Oof, kind of a brutal last half hour for the leftists in this thread.

How marvelous.

It is clear that this entire Strzok hearing is nothing more than a GOP attempt to help Trump undermine the validity and credibility of the Mueller investigation.

The Republicans cry on and on about how the Democrats in the FBI are allowing their bias to interfere with investigations as if Republicans in the FBI don't fall prey to the same biases. Give me a break.

More nonsense from Strzok:

"At every step, at every investigative decision, there are multiple layers of people above me...."

He feed information to his bang buddy who gave it directly to Mccabe.

What a liar this schmuck is.

They are threatening an FBI agent with contempt of Congress for refusing to answer questions about an ongoing investigation that the FBI instructed him not to answer.
They have no legal grounds to make such demands. They are not entitled to Discovery.

Gotta hand it to the Republicans, It is amazing the mileage they can get out of things like
Clinton's email server, Benghazi, Uranium One, and these text messages. They can milk these things for every precious drop and turn them into tempests. They are much more talented at this than the Democrats.

 I found it an interesting topic, but I also freely admitted that it was a derail... then you complained about me acknowledging it as being irrelevant and a distraction... so... I don't really follow why this is a bad mark on me here.

I supposed I'm not surirsed by your response either. How hard is it to just have a discussion without always trying to score points?

Okay then. You seem to have a lot more invested in this than I realized.
It's not a bad mark on you; however, you don't understand things, you've said that.

I knew you didn't understand because you said you didn't understand why file format mattered. It does, bigly. If it's a jpeg file, can't really search it for names (outside of forensic ****) as it's not a text file. What would you search for?If it's an access, SQL, or even an Excel sheet then it's easily searchable. That's the difference between a data dump and *********** giving someone evidence related to the charges. Certain people see 2 "terabits (lol)" and say "oh mah gerdz, teh data dumpz".

When has anyone here received data that isn't categorized or organized in anyway? How?

I'm no more invested than you are, but the difference is I understand it a bit more. The same reason I don't really argue with you about medical ****. This is my job, just like that is yours.

As far as your snarky bull **** about the "points", you do it the same as everyone else here.

The outraged, "gonna pop the veins in mah forehead" GOP ask Strzok a question but don't let him answer. They continually interrupt him. They aren't really interested in his answers, they just want to make an accusation in the form of a question.

I'm surprised they haven't brought up Vince Foster.:D

Trey Gowdy and his faux outrage was outlandish but the Award for Most Loathsome Toad goes to Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) who stooped so low as to bring up Strzok's wife:

“I’ve talked to FBI agents around the country. You’ve embarrassed them, you’ve embarrassed yourself. And I can’t help but wonder, when I see you looking there with a little smirk, how many times did you look so innocent into your wife’s eye and lie to her about Lisa Page."

Ugh. Just ugh.
Russell (R Oklahoma) just brought it up again implying an extramarital affair was reason to be fired from the FBI. They are so stupid, do they not know who the POTUS is?

You'd think these guys were all saints.

They've just adopted the playbook of conspiracy theorists through the ages, quite unashamedly. Democrats haven't done this, because they do know shame.

The GOP members didn't want the hearing. They wanted to keep the transcript of the closed door hearing with Strzok confidential and imply the deep state was exposed in that hearing. The Democrats on the two committees pushed for a public questioning and they are still pushing to release the transcript from the closed door hearing.

Democrats tried a maneuver today to publish the transcript. The Republicans quoted from the transcript so the Democrats said that meant they could release it. It's still being objected to.

The GOP keep casting aspersions then claiming "no question was asked" so Strzok can't answer.

That information also went up through the multiple layers, just more slowly.

This information : did he make it up, do you think?

That got resolved. The FBI attorneys are there.

They aren't really interested in his answers, they just want to make an accusation in the form of a question [and avoid putting it in the form of a question so they can tell Strzok he isn't allowed to answer].
ftfy

It is a repeating tactic, not the least bit disguised.
