"Germany just started paying Russia, the country they want protection from, Billions of Dollars for their Energy needs coming out of a new pipeline from Russia. Not acceptable! All NATO Nations must meet their 2% commitment, and that must ultimately go to 4%!"
Yes, because we've been swingin' our big dick stick around the globe for ~75 years, now all NATO nations must increase their military spending as well (or is it just "buy more American arms"?).

Donny has been throwing the "4.2% of GDP spent on NATO" around. Our total defense budget is massive, truly insane... ~40+% of expenses. But what is that 4.2% in terms of budget percentage? Honest question.

I'd like to see apples-to-apples numbers before bitching at EU nations to pump up our defense contractor's bottom lines. :(

"Great success today at NATO! Billions of additional dollars paid by members since my election. Great spirit!"

America got paid 33 billion dollars more because of NATO only thanks to Trump incredible negotiation and deal-making skills... or something like that but really who the hell cares about the details when the only thing that's important is America winning! America is winning again against those *********** cheapskates! They lose and America win just like Trump promised! WINNING!

I swear... if Donny starts mentioning Tiger's Blood, I'm leaving. :D

I don't understand what Trump is trying to say here. Billions of dollars paid by whom? Where was this money sent? What does it have to do with Trump's election? And why is he calling on "the Great Spirit"?

"Billions of additional dollars are being spent by NATO countries since my visit last year, at my request, but it isn’t nearly enough. U.S. spends too much. Europe’s borders are BAD! Pipeline dollars to Russia are not acceptable!"
Is it Europe's fault that the U.S. spends too much? Europe's borders are BAD? What does that even mean? And why are pipeline dollars to Russia unacceptable?

He seems to be winding himself up to some purpose, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what that purpose is. Cover for something? Deflection? Or is he about to have some big breakdown?

There are too many moving parts to his alleged "arguments"; who is feeding him this crap?

The U.S. spends 3.7 percent of it's GDP on defence, this is not going all to NATO commitments.
That doesn't seem to register with Trump. He probably thinks Japan's in NATO, and they don'y pay enough either .

These extra billions he claims from Europe : will he deduct that from defence spending now?

I don't think he realises that money spent on defence in Europe doesn't get given to the USA.

Presumably he means European defence spending has increased in recent years, which it has for the obvious reason - Russia's behaviour has concentrated European minds wonderfully.

In Trump's world this is money the US military doesn't need to spend anymore, so he can claw it back from their budget for the taxpayers. It's win-win.

Trump comments on his visit to the UK

He referred to Britain as a "pretty hot spot right now with a lot of resignations".

"I think they like me a lot in the UK; I think they agree with me on immigration...

"You see what's going on throughout the world with immigration... I think that's why Brexit happened."

He said the British people "voted to break it up, so I imagine that's what they'll do" and "Brexit is Brexit".

And Strawberry might have noticed that he referred to parts of the UK, like Ireland.

Narcissists don't have any purpose but self-aggrandizement.

They really should spend that money in EU countries. Trump no doubt has US defense contractors whispering in his ear, they want to sell more arms to the EU.

Did no-one else notice that Trump still thinks Ireland is part of the UK?

He was asked about Brexit and mentioned the people of Ireland (not NI) and Scotland as having voted for it, then went on to boast he had property all over the place, including Ireland. (He does not have any property in NI, so he really does not seem to know the Irish Republic even exists.

I know he has said and done a lot of stupid things, but surely this is the most moronic, ill-informed comment he has ever uttered?

When Trump arrived at Blenheim Palace the Guards regiments bands (two of them, one was Scots Guards, couldn't see who the other one was) played the 'Imperial March', or as it is known 'Darth Vaders Theme' from Star Wars.

Someone has a sense of humour.

Well, he's one fourth right.....
