Frankly I'm not sure of the correctness of your premises to begin with.
But if you want the solution for β how about

Hey electrical engineers use i to great effect. ;)

That actually makes perfect sense; signals attributable to hydrinos can only be detected at equally imaginary angles.

Dave

That's probably a good idea. I really appreciate WDC's information - an attempt at some honest analysis. Unfortunately I cannot see the angle of incidence anywhere in the paper which has a significant effect on the equations that he listed. Also, although Horiba lists the 2400 grating as the "optimal" grating for 325 laser, that does not mean that other gratings may not be used for certain applications.

I would like to understand this statement at the end of page 24 in the paper in question:

"The excitation was deemed to be by the high-energy UV and EUV He and Cd emission of the laser wherein the laser optics are transparent to at least 170 nm and the grating (Labram Aramis 2400 g/mm 460 mm focal length system with 1024 X 26 pixels CCD) is dispersive and has its maximum efficiency at the shorter wavelength side of the spectral range, the same range as the 260 nm band. For example, cadmium has a very intense line at 214.4 nm (5.8 eV) that matches the ro-vibrational excitation energy of H2(1/4) in KCl matrix
25 based on the e-beam excitation data [10]. The CCD is also most responsive at 500 nm, the region of the second order of the 260 nm band centered at 520 nm."

What is odd to me is that in your quote above it is referencing the 2400 grating, but on the graph in page 114 it refers to a 1200 grating.

Do you doubt the sincerity of the scientists at Rowan who have publicly gone on record to say positive things about Mills and his work that they have investigated?

Sincerity is irrelevant. They are not independent. The research has not been replicated in any way.

Can you imagine living the life Mills and his supporters think scientists actually live?

Drones plodding along repeating old experiments to re-prove existing dogma. Who pays for it? How do these scientists earn a living if all they ever do is re-prove what is already known? What is the POINT of being a scientist if actual progress and innovation has been stamped out of you?

More importantly, who would even finance an operation that consisted of dogmatic adherence to what was already known? What's the return on investment for a corporation?

There are ALL KINDS of things to discover. Experimentalists are hardly dogmatists. On the pure theory end of things, the QT foundation is not worthy of such pioneers in the lab.

Not like that, they don't. Still, it is nice to see your willingness to misspeak about so many topics you don't understand and know so little about.

Not in the word described by Mills and the other morons like him. For their fantasies to have even a hint of validity they have to depict the rest of the scientific community as stagnant and dead.

Even your admission that there are corners of progress is at odds with the theories and claims of quacks, morons, and con men like Mills and the rest of the fantasy "science" crowd.

The following events will transpire before Mills produces a commercial product that uses hydrino production as an energy source:

1. Time will ravage your body, wrinkle your skin and steal the strength from your limbs.

2. All you hold dear, in people, institutions and places, will crumble and collapse.

3. The sun will expand, engulfing the Earth, though all life will have long since perished on its baked, hot surface.

4. All the stars you see in the sky today will burn out and die.

5. The universe itself will lose all cohesion, as all matter drifts apart, the last star long ago dead and gone.

6. And, from the moment of the Big Bang, to the eons of empty, sightless void, the universe will STILL have NEVER seen the formation of a single *********** Hydrino.

Lol . I know it must be hard to come down from a July 4 celebration.

So it is written

Lol . I know it must be hard to come down from a July 4 celebration.

You laugh, but you will die having never seen your promotion of Mills bear any fruit beyond Mills and his successors finding new investors to fleece.

If you are honest and sincere in you faith in Mills and his fantasies, you will die disappointed. If you are in on a con and profiting from the exploitation of the fools stupid enough to invest in Mills, then you will no doubt weep for your sins all the way to the bank.

Raman spectroscopy works despite quantum theory.
Noodles will not save Mills' baloney.

What do they use it for? I know because it was part of my university education, but do YOU?

For sure if it is an alias there must be a signal elsewhere. If so, what known substance is producing such a signal? I don't think there is one.
Argument from Ignorance fallacy.

Oh by all means, consult experts in the field. Furthermore, the various experimental procedures in the paper are meant to be quite easily replicated.

Yet no one has independently done so...

IIRC that's because Mills forbids it.

Mills has trademarked “Hydrino.” And because his issued patents claim the hydrino as an invention, BLP asserts that it owns all intellectual property rights involving hydrino research. BLP therefore forbids outside experimentalists from doing even the most basic hydrino research, which could confirm or deny hydrinos, without first signing an IP agreement. “We welcome research partners; we want to get others involved,” Mills says. “But we do need to protect our technology.”

Mills instead has commissioned validators who say they can corroborate that BLP’s inventions work.

markie's looks now the fruit of despair

how come he thinks having no-replies to everybody is superior to having no reply to nobody?

Make markie actually cite these sincere Rowan scientists. Hydrino only appears in one paper at Rowan university and it's to a survey paper that I don't see any independent verification in. The paper cites Mills and BLP as the source of all his information.

Bloody hard to replicate if we can't figure out what grating he's using, eh?

That's not a bug. it's a feature.

If you leave out key data that laymen won't immediately understand, you can frustrate or scuttle replication efforts that could expose the con.

Yes, that's why I am wondering if the 2400 grating was purposefully not used because the cadmium has a line at 214.4nm. - but I don't know enough about it to determine that

As a quick reminder to everyone, this is where this thread started back on January 9, 2017:

As I did with the now infamous Bitcoin thread back in 2011, I am here to make another prophecy that could be potentially lucrative. Bitcoin was worth $20 bucks a coin when I made my original post. Today it's worth around $900.

I'm here to let you know that free energy generators will be hitting the market within a year, with mass production ramping up rapidly within two years. If you're able to short energy sector stocks and hold the position long term, you will definitely make your money back.

I did a full article on the company doing it here, but I'll summarize the main points below.

The "essentially free" energy generator was created by a company called Brilliant Light Power (BrLP), that was founded by Dr. Randell Mills, a Harvard trained medical doctor.

In basic terms, the generator works by reacting a very tiny amount of hydrogen with a silver catalyst and then exposing that reaction to an electrical discharge. When the hydrogen, silver and electrical discharge combine, the hydrogen atoms shrink, releasing a tremendous amount of energy in the process. Using Mills process, a gallon of water has the same energy potential of around 2000 gallons of gasoline. The amount of hydrogen needed is so small that the generator can pull the hydrogen it needs from water in the surrounding air. This enormous release of energy is then used to basically form the filament of a carbon light bulb.

The carbon light bulb glows so brightly from the heat that it reaches the equivalent brightness of over 2000 suns, with the potential to go even higher in the future. The light bulb is surrounded by an array of special solar cells called concentrator solar cells that are able to harness the energy from this enormously bright light source. These special solar cells already exist and are in use in solar farms around the world today.

BrLP already has the “light bulb” portion of this generator fully prototyped and working. Obviously that’s the hard part since the rest of the parts for the generator already exist from off-the-shelf suppliers. Mills is projecting production units to be ready for delivery by the second half of 2017, with a fully prototyped working generator ready for field testing by the first half of 2017. Once Mills rolls out that first generator, be prepared for a monumental media **** storm to hit the public.

Now I'm sure many of you will scream, "IT'S A SCAM - THEY'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS!!!!!1111!! LSKDJFLSKDJFJ"

Don't be fooled by the naysayers who haven't done their homework like I have. They were wrong about Bitcoin and they are most certainly wrong about this as well.

You can watch a full public demo of the reactor here:

I’ve been following BLP closely for nearly a decade now. I’m convinced Mills is the real deal. Contrary to what Forbes claims, numerous independent labs have verified his claims. He’s obtained funding from some of the wealthiest people on the planet, and he’s got a highly skilled team of engineers backing him. He doesn’t need any more investment capital so he’s got no reason to lie. Several university labs and independent investigators have replicated and validated Mills work:

It’s also worth taking a look at Brilliant Light’s board of directors. These people don’t strike me as the type of people who are willing to throw their lives away over fraud charges:

H. McIntyre Gardner’s profile from Bloomberg:
  • Chairman of Spirit Airlines
  • Chairman of Merrill Lynch Bank USA
  • Chairman of Merrill Lynch Life Insurance Company and Transamerica Advisors Life Insurance Company of New York
  • Director of Isola Group, SARL
  • President of the Board of Trustees at the Princeton Charter School

James E. Canty J.D.’s profile from Bloomberg:
  • President and General Counsel at Clough Capital Partners
  • Associate General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Director of Investor Relations at Converse Inc.
  • Corporate and Securities Lawyer at Goldstein & Manello
  • Certified Public Accountant at KPMG

John J. Gillen’s profile from Bloomberg:
  • Global Director of Finance at Towers Perrin
  • Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Dayton Power and Light Co.
  • Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers
  • Member of the Office of the Chief Accountant of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission

Jeremy Hux’s article from Yahoo Finance:
  • Managing director and global head of clean technology investment banking for Credit Suisse
  • President of HCP Advisors
  • Head of West Coast Clean Technology for Morgan Stanley

Barbara A. Nabial’s profile from Bloomberg:
  • Senior Audit Manager with Deloitte & Touche

And let’s not forget Mills, who has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Franklin & Marshall College, and a Doctor of Medicine Degree from Harvard Medical School. He also did graduate engineering coursework at MIT.

If you’d like to learn more about the backstory to Mills incredible scientific achievement, a book on the subject was recently released by one of his former employees.

BrLP has contracted with Columbia Tech to have them do the prototype and manufacturing workups. CT’s Chief Technology Officer is projecting initial field testing of prototype units to take place in 6 months, with pilot commercial units available 6 months after initial field testing completes. Phase 1A design began on November 1st.

Masimo Semiconductor is responsible for creating the commercial photovoltaic converter comprising a denser receiver array of concentrator multijunction photovoltaic cells that will wrap around the black-body light source. Masimo’s Head of Business Development is projecting the photovoltaic array to be ready for the prototype field tests on time. They expect delivery of the first photovoltaic array on Jan 13. So perhaps a fully working prototype generator will be wheeled out for a public demo sometime in the near future.

You can see the presentations from the reps from Masimo and CT, along with several other important players here:

In the year and a half since then, despite all the initial "Evidence," offered by michaelsuede having been vivisected long ago, we see the same tired press releases, justifications, excuses and hubris being offered by the current round of Mills acolytes. Mills is no closer to a production generator or heater than he was when he started promising one was ready for mass production about 20 years ago. Mills supporters can't even be consistent on if Mills has been able to stabilize his alleged Hydrino reaction, an understandable bit of confusion on their part as Mills himself waffles wildly on that point.

The "support" for Mills and his fetid bilge boils down to excuses, special pleading and borderline conspiracy theorist thinking.

Michaelsuede was wrong about Mills. Dead wrong. Michaelsuede, markie and all the other Mills supporters will shuffle off this mortal coil having never seen a production Hydrino generator, as there is no such thing as a Hydrino.

Did anybody notice how many of the director's in the above post have any kind of technology background?

How many of those directors are still on the BLP board today?

It seems like Jeremy Hux might be the only one.

According to their website

David Bennett – Director
Emilio Icaza Chavez – Director
Jeremy Hux – Director
Dr. Randell L. Mills – Chairman of the Board, President and CEO Director
Barbara A. Nabial – Secretary and Treasurer

3 down, 2 remain.

I am yet again reminded of Theranos. It too had a lot of smart, respected people on the board.
