The Trump Presidency VII

The rage against GWB was one of the most misguided in history and, in no small part, paved the way for Trump.

A rather substantial criticism against GWB was made up you see. Unilateralism? No, even in Iraq he had the majority of G7 and the majority of NATO behind him. Perpetual war? No, he stopped after one, two if you count Afghanistan. Dodging draft for Vietnam? No, he served in a minor role, after the war already ended. Saying stupid things? Most were lifted from Walter Mondale, not something said by GWB. This is not to say there weren't ample and justified criticisms of GWB in those fields, on the contrary, but most were considerably exaggarated.

Now apply these to Trump, who just ditched the G7 allies for North Korea of all places, got out of serving in Vietnam due to a life-threatning bone growth in one or both of his feet (he can't remember) and whose idea of great wisdom looks like this:

Robert De Niro, a very Low IQ individual, has received too many shots to the head by real boxers in movies. I watched him last night and truly believe he may be “punch-drunk.” I guess he doesn’t realize the economy is the best it’s ever been with employment being at an all time high, and many companies pouring back into our country. Wake up Punchy!

Posted on his twitter account about five minutes before this post. I didn't even have to dig up anything old.

Having spent those lines of attack against GWB, what are you left with?

McHrozni

That's a bunch of crap. The United States led the war by pushing false information to G7 members. Perpetual War? And while I never said that, The wars continued in both Afghanistan and Iraq from almost the beginning of his presidency to the end of it. Then there was the status of the budget. His tax cuts coupled with massive defense spending took what were budget surpluses to deficits every year in office and let's not forget a massive indifference to banking and financial corruption which forced his successor to bail out the financial industry and launch stimulus packages which blew an even bigger hole in the deficit.

My biggest complaint with W was the calculated disinformation campaign that he perpetrated on the American people in regards to Iraq. Always mentioning 911 in the same sentence with Iraq causing a majority of Americans to believe they were related when of course they NEVER EVER were.

Still, I would take W over the loser in the White House now.

Bush: Never went to Vietnam, but did serve in the air national guard. And lets face it... it does take at least some intelligence to fly an airplane
Can you imagine Trump flying a fast jet?
What we really need is someone who's good with video editing software to digitally edit footage of Trump pretend-driving the truck during one of his photo-ops to show him in a plane instead.

I have to wonder what Logger has to say today. Yesterday, South Carolina turned away one of the Senate's most conservative members because Trump felt slighted by him.

Is Logger going to call Sanford is a librul or a RINO? I hated Sanford's politics but seriously?

Trump has arrived at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, VA.
This is Trump's 154th day at a Trump property as President & his 112th day at a Trump golf course.

I wonder when the last time he drove a car or if he has ever driven?
Odd thought that is.
I'd expect off on his own back in the college days. Maybe club hopping for the few years just after. But a mega wealthy in NYC? It may have been a while if he hasn't been a driving enthusiast all his life. It's just too beneficial to let yourself be driven, given the traffic, and use that time to go over business and legal paperwork, etc.
Wait... what the hell am I saying. It's Trump. :(

But hell... you can't even trust him to keep his cart off the damn greens. I don't want him driving anything bigger.
:D

Obviously he's got time on his hands, what with being so successful at the job and all. Just like the first month (week?) he had it.

I heard he just "de-nuclearized" North Korea.
He's incredible, isn't he? [emoji14]

I saw that picture of him driving on the greens and could only think 'sacrilege.' Anyone who golfs regularly knows that is a huge no no.

I'm sure the pertinent attack will be something about Sanford's affair.

Because if irony ain't dead yet, the Trumpalo Bandwagon is doing its best to kill it off.

That would be hypocritical especially when you consider that Sanford was Governor when he had the affair and nevertheless was elected Senator.

He was in the way.

Not entirely preposterous, just mostly preposterous. Someone gone MIA in 1953 at age 18 would have been born in 1935. If born to a teen, parents could have been born as late as 1920 and be only 98 now.
Yeah, it's a stupid lie.

I know someone who fought in the Korean War. He must be in his mid-80s. Were his parents still alive (they died long time ago) they'd be in their hundreds.

Pretty sure Cadet Bone Spurs has the wars he dodged mixed up.
