It’s simply not a plausible interpretation of the September 2, 2016 text exchange that Obama was seeking a briefing on the Clinton email investigation.

FBI Director James Comey closed the Clinton email investigation on July 5, 2016. It was not reopened until October. The same trove of text messages released Tuesday reveals that the FBI did not even become aware of additional emails on Anthony Weiner’s laptop until September 28, 2016.

According to the Wall Street Journal (admittedly, a hard-core leftist publication), the texts were referring to the Russian election meddling investigation and not Hillary's emails.

A question was raised whether Hillary and her team did delete emails after receiving a subpoena and some of those emails were work-related.

they did:

"The Clinton campaign previously had indicated that her personal emails were deleted before Clinton received a congressional subpoena on March 4, 2015. But the FBI said her emails were deleted “between March 25-31, 2015” — three weeks after the subpoena. The campaign now says it only learned when the emails were deleted from the FBI report."

ETA: Also, this has nothing to do with Hillary deleting emails. It goes back to that IT guy at PRN that deleted the emails when he had an "oh ****" moment. He received an email requesting the preservation of the emails, and realized he didn't delete them when he was asked. So he then deleted it.

This is all just more stupid ****, but I'm sure it's big news to some.

I guess TBD is right - Clinton needs to be impeached. Don't give her the chance to step down and have her VP pardon her!

The person in charge of storing Hillary's emails got a document retention letter THEN went ahead and deleted them and used bleach bit, and you consider that "stupid ****"?

The DoJ's Inspector General report on the FBI's handling (or mishandling) of the Clinton e-mail server fiasco is due shortly.

Andrew McCabe is asking for immunity or is going to take the 5th

Y'all might remember McCabe who got fired before his full pension could kick in, causing much gnashing of teeth and a well promotedGo Fund me raising venture.

Should be a barn burner of a couple weeks

Is asking for immunity or pleading the 5th not standard practice? Sounds pretty normal to me. I'm not even sure what the **** his pension has to do with anything in this thread at all, but I suppose you can't poison the well if you don't drop a little poison. I'm shocked that a fallacy has been slipped in here, absolutely and entirely shocked I tell you. *clutches pearls and storms off*
