And the NFL Owners have become a laughing stock, thinking their attempts to appease Trump would work.
Donnie hates the NFL , for what happened with the USFL, and for twice having basically been foiled by the NFL in his attempt to buy into an NFL team. And Donnie is nothing if not vindictive.

To get off their backs about player protests, frankly.
They tried a crappy maneuver that would have kept the protest in the locker room, and it backfired.
And the players are MAD. If you thought their demonsration last season were divisive, just wait.
I suspect there will be few if any players on the field for the playing of the anthem on the first game of the season. And that is just for starters.
 
And at the "Honor America Trump" ceremony today, Benedict Donald did not even know the words to God Bless America and the National ANthem.
GOd, he really is becoming Louis the 14th "L"Etat, Cest Moi".

Reading between the lines, that's obviously what he wants, right?

I just want to see him justify it in his own words. And when he's done that, I'd love to see him define "freedom".

I think it goes beyond merely no understanding.

I think he is actively contemptuous of the concept.

All "deals" (and everything is a "deal") must be approached as zero sum, where there are clear "winners" and clear "losers".

And he, of course, must be seen as the winner (in his own mind, at the very least), no matter what the actual facts might be.

If there are examples of him using any other approach to any sort of negotiation, I haven't heard about it.

I have had that exact same discussion with people on the left who want to see the demise of their opposition as well. Freedom and good governance requires differing opinions.

It's hard to convince the zealots of that however.

Oh, I most definitely agree. But right here and now though, logger seems to be the only one advocating such a solution. So it would be interesting to see his reasoning behind it.

But I suppose we all know that's not going to happen. Honest debate doesn't really seem to be what he does.

He seems to think that if there is no possibility of changing minds on Trump, discussion of the issues is pointless. When I see it as almost imperative.

So instead he just call us names like liberals. When you try and drill down it's generalizations like big government and democrats are weak. Neither of which is saying a damn thing.

That's not an ad hominem. It simply is an accurate description of the discourse. I want more and more details and Logger simply doesn't provide them. I've asked him many times and the response is usually, 'well, if you don't know or some form of mockery. I try not to mock him. But Trump is fair game as long as I'm being truthful.
