Indeed. If the two choices are (1) keep doing the same thing he's been doing for five years or (2) leave, I'll choose (2). But there is very much a (3) do what the other participants in the debate have asked for. And a few people specifically called that out as what they wanted. Looks to me like he's setting up a flounce scene that he can blog elsewhere as, "I tried to be reasonable with them but they kicked me out."
