The example was anecdotal and shouldn't be used for any application to any group.

My specific example is anecdotal, but child abuse by parents who don't want their kids isn't. I need only to look around the city in which I live.

Which is just as valid an opinion as mine. What I find strange is that in a democracy we don't get to vote on the core issue of abortion, only at what age a woman should be allowed to obtain one.

What gives anyone the right to tell a woman how to govern their own body? Protecting a "life" that couldn't survive independently of the woman?
