The Bataclan terrorists had AK47s I believe. The posited 'good guy' would almost certainly only be carrying a hand gun and end up as another victim.
By all accounts the French police response by the specialist team was as effective as it could be in the circumstances; I would say heroic.

How anyone, even right wing Republicans or the most enthusiastic second amendment supporter can tolerate such ignorant, disrespectful and downright disgusting comments from Trump is something I have great difficulty understanding.

The narrative proposed by President Trump is that the mere sight of a single gun in the hands of one of the crowd would have given the terrorists the vapours and had them running for the doors. There would have been no shots fired because that single weapon would have stopped the whole thing before it started.

I guess the idea is to ensure that everyone thinks that terrorists are abject cowards who would run from any fight, IMO they're not, they're brainwashed murderers who actually embrace martyrdom. I guess facts should never be allowed to get in the way of a good narrative though....:rolleyes:

Speaking as someone who grew up in the crack era, in the hood, and who has lost a great number of friends and associates to gun violence over the decades:

Please do NOT attempt to persuade Dolt 45 to "get involved" in any such matter. It's not in his jurisdiction as president to begin with, and what little he's done so far can only make things worse by poisoning police-community relations throughout the US. The full attention of a white supremacist like him would, I have no doubt, prove to be a complete disaster that would make things vastly worse, while his idiot cultists would cheer him preening around about how he "keeps our children safe."
 
FWIW, the latest news about murder in London is that two teenagers have been shot within minutes of each other in separate incidents.
 
Who knows why anyone would even do this, but Trump's nomination for the Nobel was forged...twice.

Why they didn't just get someone to do a real one is beyond my understanding, even the understanding of the depths of both vileness and incompetence gained from observing the Trump presidency so far.

ETA: Nope... apparently they used someone else's name for the nomination because only X amount of people are allowed to put names forth for consideration.
