That's a nice summary of the ongoing investigation as it relates to Trump and Cohen.
Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's longtime personal lawyer, reportedly bragged to a guest at a wedding he attended that he was part of the Russian mob.

Cohen is currently a subject of two federal criminal investigations, one of which focuses on Trump's and his associates' ties to Russia.

Investigators are known to be focusing on at least three Trump-Russia events that Cohen was involved in.
The three events: The Trump Tower Meeting, the "mysterious" Prague trip, and "A Moscow-friendly 'peace plan'".

House Intelligence Committee report clears Trump of collusion
No collusion!!!
So let me get this straight....

The House intelligence committee,

1) an organization where the majority of members are Republican (i.e. the same party as the president),

2) the same people who have a habit of making claims then later backtracking and admitting they were wrong (https://www.vox.com/2018/3/14/17121...intelligence-committee-trump-russia-collusion)

3) and who is headed by Nunes (who was a member of Trump's Transition team, and has a habit of shady dealings, such as his famous visit to the white house and information reveal to the media before the committee)

4) After failing to interview several relevant people, including Papadopoulous (who was rather key, since his talking provided the basis of the investigation. See: https://www.cnn.com/2017/10/30/politics/congress-papadopoulos-interview/index.html

5) released a redacted report

6) which contradicts the findings by professionals in the intelligence community (who, more often than not, are republican)

And this repot somehow clears the Trump campaign of collusion with the Russians.

And you actually consider that somehow proof that there was "no collusion"?

Well, color me convinced.
Looks like the Dems impeachment fantasy is swirling down the toilet.
Errrr... not really.

First of all, I assume most democrats don't really hold the impeachment fantasy since they are aware that congress is controlled by the Republicans who are quite happy with a racist republican as president; as such, impeachment is unlikely, not because collusion didn't happen, but because even if they released the video tape of Trump giving oral sex to Putin while he personally hacks the Democrat's email server (while Assange lovingly looks on), Republicans would still fail to impeach.

Secondly, while they may not expect impeachment, they do recognize that the issue is still worth investigating (and charges laid when possible).

Fortunately, most of the work is being done by people like Mueller, who appear to be dealing with the issue in a professional and unbiased manner.

But but, her emails. No really. And they were hacked no less.

CNN (because some of you can't get past NYT Paywall): NYT: Russian lawyer at Trump Tower meeting had closer ties to Kremlin than previously disclosed
Newly surfaced emails indicate that Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer who met with Trump campaign associates in 2016, once worked with Russia's chief legal office in an effort to thwart the Justice Department, The New York Times reported on Friday.

The newspaper notes that the disclosure suggests that the lawyer had closer ties to the Kremlin than she had previously suggested.

The Times reported that, according to an NBC News interview with Richard Engel to be broadcast Friday night, Veselnitskaya disclosed that she was a "source of information" for Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika.

This is going to outshine the partisan House Intelligence Committee report, bad timing, Nunes. Too bad.

Hacked emails, I guess what goes around is coming around in this case.

Trump takes time during Merkel's visit to proclaim in a dozen ways how the wonderful, beautiful, thorough House Intelligence Committee GOP report exonerated him... blah blah blah.

House Intelligence Committee report clears Trump of collusion

The 253-page report found no evidence of collusion, but did cite “poor judgment” and “ill-considered actions” on part of the Trump team and Hillary Clinton's campaign.

“While the committee found no evidence that the Trump campaign colluded, coordinated, or conspired with the Russian government, the investigation did find poor judgment and ill-considered actions by the Trump and Clinton campaigns,” the report concluded.

No evidence of collusion!!!

Boom! This proves what we've long suspected. Mueller should be fired, investigated, and imprisoned (though not necessarily in that order).

Did anyone expect the Republican House Intelligence Committee report to say there was collaboration with the Russians?

Next up: his kids say he's really a nice guy and vouch for his character.

If only his mommy were alive to put in a good word, too, and that would seal the deal.

Two should probably have a bit explicitly said in it, given that they've long since walked that specific claim back to "We didn't find anything because we weren't looking for or at that" and the like.

An excellent summary, but yes, this is the confirmation bias evidence I have been hearing from Fox News and Trump supporters all day today.

I have considered perhaps I was just as deluded by the Democratic version and yeah—no. One of these versions is not like the other and I'm confident I know which one is based on actual evidence.

Dems can't handle the fact the House Intelligence report vindicates Trump and proves there was no collusion. It's very DETAILED. Oh man, I so look forward to reading it.

Wasn't that pretty much what the fixer claimed in the email to Donald Jr?
