So let me get this straight....
The House intelligence committee,
1) an organization where the majority of members are Republican (i.e. the same party as the president),
2) the same people who have a habit of making claims then later backtracking and admitting they were wrong (
https://www.vox.com/2018/3/14/17121...intelligence-committee-trump-russia-collusion)
3) and who is headed by Nunes (who was a member of Trump's Transition team, and has a habit of shady dealings, such as his famous visit to the white house and information reveal to the media before the committee)
4) After failing to interview several relevant people, including Papadopoulous (who was rather key, since his talking provided the basis of the investigation. See:
https://www.cnn.com/2017/10/30/politics/congress-papadopoulos-interview/index.html
5) released a
redacted report
6) which contradicts the findings by professionals in the intelligence community (who, more often than not, are republican)
And this repot somehow clears the Trump campaign of collusion with the Russians.
And you actually consider that somehow proof that there was "no collusion"?
Well, color me convinced.
Errrr... not really.
First of all, I assume most democrats don't really hold the impeachment fantasy since they are aware that congress is controlled by the Republicans who are quite happy with a racist republican as president; as such, impeachment is unlikely, not because collusion didn't happen, but because even if they released the video tape of Trump giving oral sex to Putin while he personally hacks the Democrat's email server (while Assange lovingly looks on), Republicans would still fail to impeach.
Secondly, while they may not expect impeachment, they do recognize that the issue is still worth investigating (and charges laid when possible).
Fortunately, most of the work is being done by people like Mueller, who appear to be dealing with the issue in a professional and unbiased manner.
