Cont: The Trump Presidency VI

I don't want to start a new thread for this but, this is the same meme religious doctrines use to stop people even thinking about doubting their faith:

Vox: John Legend asked Kanye West to reconsider his Trump support. Kanye put their texts on Twitter.

Legend:

West:

No need to look at Trump's white nationalism if you start by saying you are trying to manipulate me.

As I've been saying for years now, Kanye West is a huge jerk first and foremost. There's no point worrying about it, unless you actually have to deal with him directly. I like his music for the most part, but if GWB had simply said "Kanye West doesn't care about black people" I'd have laughed and laughed.

And laughed.

I propose a mass movement whereby millions of citizens send Trump packages of Extenze. Purchased on Amazon of course.
The Amazon angle is a nice touch. :)

I've thought for a while a fund to flood him with MickeyD's $10 gift cards might be the quickest way to get him uhh... removed.
:D

Might even find out how good the WH physician really is. ;)

I’m still waiting to see what Trump has done that is racist?

Do you have an alt-definition of racism? Or do you think a person's one black friend negates everything else?

Also, see Upchurch's list.

Lol

Just as I suspected. Nothing but liberal opinion to keep the narrative going. One things for certain Trump or conservatives or most people on the right will never out live being called racists. It works for the left, it keeps most of the blacks on the liberal plantation. Some are waking up to it, as blacks and other minorities understand what the left has done, it might come back to being even.

Let’s take the first one. Trumps company discriminated against blacks in housing then we have another in that time frame. Then we get to the campaign when everything from wanting to seal the border to him rumoured to have referred to a contestant as miss housekeeping.

Does all this really mean he’s a complete and total racist? Or does it show a pattern of a man who can’t keep his mouth shut and says un PC things?

Don’t forget many prominent blacks say things much worse.

I think what negates everything is his actions towards blacks. He doesn’t seem to want to subjugate them. He doesn’t seem to disparage them or want to keep them down. He seems to want them to flourish just like most others.

The thing is this stuff would never get near him. White House mail is screened at a secret site off-premises, often assumed to be a military base.

A) "complete and total" is moving the bar

B) spouting your racist opinions because you can't keep your mouth shut is pretty racist.

You do realize that there are more racial and ethnic groups on the planet besides black people, and even if he were somehow OK with black people that wouldn't necessarily mean he wasn't a racist.
He doesn’t seem to want to subjugate them. He doesn’t seem to disparage them or want to keep them down.
Yup, Trump is quite happy with them, As long as
1) he doesn't have to rent apartments to them (http://www.businessinsider.com/fbi-report-trump-housing-discrimination-2017-2)
2) they don't mind being stopped and frisked, an activity that generally targets black people, and for which former police commissioner claimed didn't really help stop crime (https://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/donald-trump-stop-and-frisk-228486)
3) They don't come from ****-hole countries
4) and they don't mind being labeled 'lazy' just because of the color of their skin

So if labeling an entire ethnic group as 'lazy' isn't considered disparaging, what exactly is it? Do you consider it a complement to be called lazy?

This is not actually for the person I'm responding to

Hold it.

Since taking office, Dolt 45 has:

Ended Obama's "My Brother's Keeper" program, which aimed at getting private businesses to find and recruit talent among inner-cities;

Attempted to end all federal oversight of violent and corrupt policing, including Baltimore, even though the police and city government both openly desired the consent decree to remain in place;

Attempted to ease restrictions of heavy-pollution coal plants, which are disproportionally placed in black, Hispanic, and Native American communities;

Given license to an all-star team of activists openly and repeatedly attempting to suppress black voters;

Openly attacked black NFL players who protests anti-black violence (particularly police violence) by kneeling during the routine pseudopatriotism displays ("pseudo" because the US military actually pays the NFL for these displays, which I find profoundly offensive);

Coddled KKK members to the point of stating there were "good people" involved in the Charolettesville terror attack;

Whined about the removal of Confederate statues which were put up specifically as displays of white supremacism;

Attacked Civil Rights icon John Lewis;

Ignored Flint's water crisis;

Appointed white supremacists and white nationalists (including Steve Bannon, Jeff Sessions, Stephen Miller, and Sebastian Gorka) to key White House positions;

Threatened to defund UC Berkley when Milo Yabbadabbado (I can't be bothered to look up his actual name) was run off campus by a mob angered by his white nationalism and outright violent supporters;

Backstabbed HBCUs on funding (And before anyone says it, they can be closed as soon as every Predominantly White Institution is also closed);

Shrugged off the brutal death of black Green Beret David Johnson, to his widow;

Encouraged federal DAs to exact heavy penelties for nonviolent drug offenses, while simultaneously renewing contracts with for-profit prisons;

Pardoned noted bigot Joe Arpaio;

Called mainly black countries "****holes" and suggested we instead take in immigrants from a European country that US white nationalists see as a dreamland due to it's almost entirely white population.

And this is simply what I can remember sitting down for a minute. The above are, taken all together, exactly what I would expect a president whose only guiding principle was white supremacy.

And this is before we discuss his obvious hatred of Latinx and Native Americans...

It is my understanding that he has not commented on the Waffle House shooting, neither to condemn the (white) shooter, to express sympathy to tbe (mostly id not all black) victims and tbeir families, or to praise the heroic actions of the (black) guy who stopped it, and who has donated all the money from a gofundme campaign to pay for the victims' funerals.

Wasn't Kanye West the guy who interrupted Taylor Swift at the Grammy's? If so, he and Trump are a perfect fit for each other.

Yup. He also:
- Stopped a concert to demand his audience to stand up during it (there is a false rumor that he criticized someone in a wheelchair for not standing but that was incorrect.) He's a performer. If people aren't standing, maybe its because your music isn't motivating them enough to stand
- Criticized the Grammys for giving best album award to Beck (said he should have given it to Beyonce), then admitted that at the time he hadn't even listened to the album

A DuckDuckGo search supports this conclusion. It certainly speaks volumes, and it doesn't make any sense. I suppose he's afraid of backlash.

Yes, except I think it was actually the MTV Awards - and I dimly recall that Swift was, at the time, the first country performer to win an award there, which makes it even worse in my opinion. Obama famously called West a jackass for this, while openly embracing many other black rappers and musicians.

But it's true that West and Dolt 45 are both raging egotists.

This is true - and given what I listed, I prefer that he stay quiet about it.

Weren’t those coal fired plants there before the blacks? That might fall on his hatred towards Italians.

This is just ridiculous. The left needs this narrative. Many blacks on the left seem to need this narrative. Have at it!
