"Hard to believe" does not mean credible in my book. A "new acquaintance"....what a joke.

Maybe, but Mueller has Papadopoulos "under contract" so I guess we'll find out who he told about the emails besides Lanza and the Australian guy.

Russia loves Laura:
Embattled Fox News host Laura Ingraham has found some unlikely allies: Russian bots.

Russian-linked Twitter accounts have rallied around the conservative talk-show host, who has come under fire for attacking the young survivors of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting. According to the website Hamilton 68, which tracks the spread of Russian propaganda on Twitter, the hashtag #IstandwithLaura jumped 2,800 percent in 48 hours this weekend. On Saturday night, it was the top trending hashtag among Russian campaigners.

I take issue with the washington post claim.

The claim that the Russian bots were unlikely allies is false. They were inevitable, as Russia is doing everything they can to defend Trump's regime.

Also to create as much public discord as possible, which advocating in defense of Ingraham's deplorable comments about the Parkland survivors is certainly bound to do.

George Papadopoulos mouths off in a bar again, this time incriminates Jeff Sessions in Trump-Russia
Apparently Papadopoulos is a big fan of talking to strangers in nightclubs about what actually happened during the Trump campaign....

When Jason asked if he’d be disappointed “when all the facts came out,” Papadopoulos responded that everything was “just getting started.” He also added this new bombshell: Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ role in all of it, particularly with regard to Papadopoulos’ relationship with Joseph Mifsud, a Maltese academic with known high level connections to the Kremlin. While Mifsud appears to have completely disappeared off the map, his connections to both the Trump campaign and Russia remain an important thread currently being investigated by Mueller.

Ralph Peters:
I was the one person on the Fox payroll who, trained in Russian studies and the Russian language, had been face to face with Russian intelligence officers in the Kremlin and in far-flung provinces. I have traveled widely in and written extensively about the region. Yet I could only rarely and briefly comment on the paramount security question....

This comes as no surprise......

And as he does so, he does whispers, Homer Simpson style, to his Russian pals, “I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry”

Yeah like “tell Vlad I’ll be able to do more after the election”. That was Obama whispering that to Dmitry Medvedev on a hot mic.

I don't think there's anything particularly revelatory in that story. I'm just posting the link because I'm digging the side-eye of the reporter on our right of the picture that accompanies it.

I think the article is just a testament to how pointless the house of representatives is for pretty much anything these days. The Senate always has the reputation for being the thoughtful and meaningful body, while the house, especially when it has the majority party same as the president, is nothing but figurehead.

Even when a bill comes out of the house, it goes to the Senate who has to do it properly. Then they fix it, and it goes back to the house who has nothing decent to contribute.

The only time the house is useful is when they are in opposition, and create concessions. Otherwise they are nothing but a rubber stamp to the grown ups.
