Which is it?
Do people care or not?
You've said both.
Whatever makes you happiest.

You've said both.
But it's not a bad thing. Not unless you get caught, anyway, and Cohen's too slick to let that happen. Look how he took that Avenatti guy by three slap-downs to none. Masterly stuff.
The teevee class cares, but they only care what viewers care about. Are viewers people? It helps the teevee class sleep not to think about them that way. Are viewers voters? If not, a lot of money's being lavished on the teevee class by the political class to no good purpose.Which is it?

Now now, Cohen did not even have to do anything, that was all your boy Avenatti.
He’s a super lawyer.

Either way, I'm thinking the teevee class are coming out of this as the smart people.
Sure, they have their bread and circuses, namely McDonalds hamburger buns for nourishment and a fading porn star with Dondi eyes and barrage balloon tits and her incompetent lawyer to titillate them.
Quite smart, indeed.
Trump stiffed the caterers of one of his weddings after saying that being associated with the Trump name was, by his own estimation, worth way more than he owed them. It was a small company which had taken on sub-contractors for this one contract, on the expectation of prompt payment, so they went bust honouring their obligations. It was also a common practice of the Trump organization not only to slow pay it's vendors and either force his vendors to go to court to get paid or give up.
He might not like it now the Russian mob has so much of it on their books, but what can he do? The vig must be killing him, Mar-a-Lago notwithstanding, let alone the principal. He has nowhere to turn.Trump always said he loved debt, but that is because this is where he made his money.
Absolutely. Mr Cohen, if you're reading this, you are winning this case beyond the telling of it. You can just coast to the finishing flag from here. No pressure at all.I think so.

Today they could crowd-source millions overnight, but that was then. It's hard to see anyone voting for such a man without feeling besmirched.

Except to the Chinese mob. Remember you read it here first.![]()
I really don't get how anyone could have voted for such a despicable and disgusting man. He lies, he cheats, he's lazy, he's self centered. If you listen to any of his speeches, it's almost awe inspiring just how inarticulate he is.
That Trump has slept with a porn star is not surprising days after his wife gave birth to his son. And if some or even most voters might give him a pass for being unable to keep his dick in his pants, so be it.
That said, I'm thoroughly convinced that public should have no interest in enforcing contracts of silence for candidates running for public office.
You clearly believe the money was Trump's and his lawyer has lied about its source. You are not, however, DD, you are TBD and will not be receiving $20m.
Norah O'Donnell (CBS News): 'You [meaning Cohen] took out a home
equity loan to pay off Stormy Daniels?
Schwartz: Yes, to get the money quickly.
Gayle King (CBS News): 'Does that make sense to you, that a lawyer
would take out a home equity loan, on his own property? Does that
make sense to you?'
Schwartz: 'In a vacuum, no. What I... for an outside client, it's a
different... you have to understand, it's a different relationship
between these two people. That's what I'm trying... It's not a
lawyer-client relationship. By the way, he wasn't actually acting for
Donald (um) David Dennison; he was acting for Essential Consultants,
LLC.'
Norah O'Donnell: 'You realize there are tax implications for doing
that.'
Schwartz: '...Legally, he was.'
Norah O'Donnell: 'Yes.'
Schwartz: 'What are the tax implications? For Stormy, she received
the money, right? So,... what?
Gayle King: 'No, no, that's not what she's talking about.'
And you have Trump, and wanted him (unlike "Spanky" Daniels, by all accounts). That's Trump of The Apprentice, a teevee star but not of the teevee class. Trump was what they refer to as "Talent", which ranks well below even "Creatives".Sure, they have their bread and circuses, namely McDonalds hamburger buns for nourishment and a fading porn star with Dondi eyes and barrage balloon tits and her incompetent lawyer to titillate them.
Quite smart, indeed.
The answer invariably given is 'Well yes. But it's better than Hillary.'

Daniels didn't want him but had him and it was soon over. You wanted Trump and now you're stuck with him. How smart do you feel?
Oh, oh, oh. Oh. And, also, oh.
This Daniels thing really is the gift that keeps on giving.
Not only is there confusion about identity of DD, but apparently, now there's confusion about whether Cohen was Trump's lawyer, courtesy of Trump's Lawyer's (?) Lawyer.
[Trump’s Lawyer’s Lawyer Now Says Trump’s Lawyer Wasn’t Actually Trump’s Lawyer]
David Schwartz - Cohen's Laywer - claims Cohen was not Trump's lawyer... just a generous friend who took out a $130k LOC against his home to help out The Donald right in the middle of a presidential campaign, but no it's not a campaign contribution. I mentally picture Cohen with a diary, writing "Michael Trump. Michael Cohen-Trump. Michael Trump-Cohen. Heart-heart, xxx ooo, he's so dreamy."
This is rich with potential. OK, so he's not an attorney, but actually a TPB?
This makes Cohen's claim to attorney-client privileges look like fraud, right? OK, so maybe Cohen will sue him. Schwartz should hire a lawyer. (who, in turn, may need a new lawyer, because that's the trajectory here)
My mental image of this right now: Trump's lawyers are nesting Russian dolls. I don't think, thats a coincidence.
And for the life of me, I don't see what is so bad about Hillary. While I think she makes a horrible candidate and isn't going to give rousing speeches that inspire people, at least they would be coherent. She may be boring, but she's smart and the hardest worker you might ever meet.
Let Hillary go. The Big Dog can't, but surely we can? There's a legacy thread for that sort of thing. And for the life of me, I don't see what is so bad about Hillary.
Be careful what you wish for. There are worse things than having trivia ruling the airwaves.OK, Trump has won. I am sick of all this Stormy Daniels news and just want it gone.
Personally, I don't like her, and I really don't like 'legacy' presidents. But at least she had the full breadth of experience for the job, understands what would need to be done, and chances were decent she'd be able to hire actual competent people.
