And often, not then. This guy declared bankruptcy 4 times which means he walked away from obligations countless times.

It was also a common practice of the Trump organization not only to slow pay it's vendors and either force his vendors to go to court to get paid or give up. As well as be told (after the vendor completed work) that if a discount wasn't applied, they wouldn't receive any future contracts.

Trump always said he loved debt, but that is because this is where he made his money.
