True. Nobody wants to be seen as the captain of the Titanic and if they see a losing cause in representing Trump, that may shy away from representing him.

Plus, I wonder just how much "fortune" would be involved, considering Trump has a habit of not paying his bills (and representing Trump in a losing cause won't help bring in new business).

And finally... it was an incredibly stupid thing to say. By talking "fame and fortune" he's just tarred any law firms that might want to represent him as being greedy and egotistical.

Sure it’s a common phrase, but...

...it’s funny. On Opening Arguments Andrew Torres says having winning TTTBE entry will bring one fame and fortune - but then, under his breath adds the qualifier...”Fame and fortune not guaranteed”.

I seriously doubt Trump listens to Opening Arguments, but I find it a cute coincidence.

Yes he did. Finally. Months after congress passed the sanctions law. After missing deadlines for imposing sanctions and claiming "we don't need to... the threat of imposing them was enough" he finally implemented them.

Now the question is... did he do so because he thought it was the best thing to do for the country or because he realized the optics were making him look bad.

#Russia's state TV reports that an unnamed high-level White House source quietly told the Russians that the number of Russian diplomats in the U.S. is not being cut (they can send 60 other diplomats to replace the ones being expelled). They quote the source: "The doors are open."

I asked @StateDept about this, and it's true. Trump's expulsion this week of 60 Russian diplomats does not require the Russia to reduce its staffing levels in the U.S. and vice versa.

Seeming confirmation of the story on Russian state media that Russia can just replace their 60 diplomats with 60 different ones.

I just assumed that was going to happen. When they expel diplomats it's just to cause embarrassment and inconvenience. It's up to the embassy how they staff it. For example, the Russian Embassy in Canberra is apparently quite small.
Now they will have to bring in a new electrician and driver. Hope they don't need any fuses changed in the meantime.
