Stormy Daniels Sues the President

And Ms. Daniels has already described the sex as generic and made an oblique reference to a mini corn dog. I'm thinking there is no aspect of this gig he wants publicized

And that was the genius of her lawsuit, he has to either admit to conspiracy to violate campaign financing laws or she gets to talk. And show her evidence around.

as with all false dichotomies this one is wrong too, and also include the always extra special begging the question

Stormy's amended complaint is here:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/stormy...t-to-include-trump-attorney-defamation-claim/

the last page is the release that Cohen issued in relation to the Common Cause complaint and that forms the basis for Stormy's frivolous defamation complaint, because the release is clearly and unmistakably talking about the Common cause complaint, and not the porn star.

Guess filing frivolous pleadings is one of them those "traps" the lawyer is setting up, huh?

I should think so, if the actual intent is to play every angle that might get Trump deposed in the federal court, but it appears to be more of a play for public sympathy. So far, he's done a great job with that.

I am not familiar with the US legal system, but I suspect that the lady being sued does not have $20,000,000. Will she be expected to work off her debt if she loses?

Well her wages can be "garnished," as can her other assets including her royalties from blockbusters like The Witches of Breastwick

confidential arbitration is confidential.

... which I would guess is why Avenatti wants to get Trump deposed? If he denies that he's DD under oath, then Cohen would have the unenviable job of proving that his client committed perjury but should still collect the damages he's denying he is owed.

Declare bankruptcy and it will go away. But it would involve losing all assets.

I don't know how much discovery they allow in confidential arbitration, but I suspect that they do allow a deposition, and they will keep that transcript locked tighter than a tick given the whole history of not respecting confidentiality agreements, ya know?

"He's a thug!"
"A million dollars!"

"He's a thug!"
"A million dollars!"

It's the new
"Tastes great!"
"Less filling!"

It would appear that (and to quote one of my favorite movies):

"Declare Victory and depart the field."

-Porking with Pride 2

It goes back to Vietnam. GOP Governor of Vermont George Aiken said it was the best solution to Vietnam.

11 USC 523 : A discharge under this title does not discharge an individual debtor of any debt - (a)(6) for willful and malicious injury by the debtor to another entity or to the property of another entity.

Might be important to know that particular exception to bankruptcy discharge in this case.

Thanks for the info. But Daniels won't have to declare bankruptcy. My guess is someone with deeper pockets is covering whatever damages if any that might be awarded. And we know it won't be 20 million dollars. Between Avenatti appearing every day and teasing the public with more salacious news and Daniels appearing on the news, it's a win for everybody except maybe Melania. But even she has to know her husband is a sleaze.

Also, I just watched a legal analyst for CNN, said that Avenatti's latest move suing Cohen for defamation saying she was lying about the affair frees Daniels up to talk about the affair since it is outside the scope of the NDA. Now, i'm not a lawye, so I have no idea if that is true but it sure would be fun if it was. Gotta love this story. Seems like Avenatti is having fun at Trump 's expense.
