The Trump Presidency (Act V - The One Where Everybody Dies)

Here are Trump's sarcastic remarks on "being presidential" in Moon Township Pennsylvania last night:

What I don't get is how excited some of the crowd becomes. I see the humor but I don't understand people howling with laughter and cheering lines like, "If I came like a stiff, you guys wouldn't be here tonight." A chuckle okay, but roaring with laughter? An underlying issue is, Trump is there to endorse Rick Saccone for Congress but The Dunce's remarks are mostly about himself.

Donnie knows how to market, his business record indicates that. His business record also indicates, he's not so good at delivering the product he makes you think you're buying and he's not so good in the role of CEO. Great fit for the White House. :( And that's not funny.

The crowd doesn't seem to understand. He is laughing at them, not with them.

Perfect Stalinist Show Parade. What's the distance from the WH to the Capitol? A mile, mile-and-a-half? They're going to spend millions for a 1.5 mile parade? The St. Patty's parade next Sunday will cover about eight fold that distance. This is all just for Dear Leader and the television cameras.

It will be interesting to see which networks televise this event. Fox will have a camera every meter along the parade route and three talking heads for each camera. Will the others bother?

Sending the Secret Service to monitor elections should scare the bejesus out of Trump's Federalist pals - if they were interested in anything but grabbing power for their club.

Did anyone else see Trump’s speech last night?

I tuned in part way through.

He sure knows how to play to his crowd. But I thought it was a rambling, smug and self-congratulating mess. Typical for him: insulting others, juvenile name calling, rehashing - yet again - his election victory over Hillary, etc. etc. etc. ad nauseum. Endorsing the PA Republican candidate came late in the speech and was itself Trump-centric.

Crass populism, the likes of which I never dreamed I’d see in my lifetime.

I particularly liked Trump's lynch-mob appeal for the death penalty for drug dealers. American crowds at political events are now providing 1930s-level documentary film, good news for the History Channel's future.

Clearly an honest mistake.

Surely he’ll correct himself shortly, and clearly explain how he accidentally misinterpreted the data.

Right?
I think in this case it was in terms of Trump's stupidity and mental issues an "honest" mistake. He could only take note of the "hugest" number, i. e. the 52% that shows he is the most voted for by women POTUS of all time.

Conservative Republicans in general and Trump supporters in particular have established beyond any possibility of rational contradiction that their only interest is in power, and that all of their protestations of concern for citizens' or states' rights, the Constitution, morality, ethics, public welfare, or any American ideals are and always have been complete and utter hypocrisy.

If nothing else we can thank Trump for ensuring that the curtain has been completely torn down.

We have to do it, folks. Have to do it. The system is so rigged. Last election, millions of illegal votes. Bussed in to New Hampshire from Massachusetts. I mean, it's so bad. So bad. Texas. Florida. But I still won. Still won so big. I mean, historic. Huge electoral college win. Huge. Biggest inauguration ever. You saw it, right? You know they'll try to do it again, the system is rigged. The system is so rigged. The votes. Trying to steal it just like last time. You know they'll try. So we have to be on guard, right? Whatever it takes. Whatever it takes.

I can't tell if this is an actual quote or a perfect imitation.

“Since taking office I have been very strict on Commercial Aviation,” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning. “Good news - it was just reported that there were Zero deaths in 2017, the best and safest year on record!”

Dear Mr. President,
Why did you stop doing whatever it was which prevented commercial airline deaths?

49 dead in crash.

It was only in the USA there were no deaths anyhow. Largely because of those pesky government regulations.
