Even if we were unaware of how gunpowder works, it does in fact work and this is easily demonstrated by any fool.
The precise reactions of gunpowder are difficult to elucidate. Rather than being a simple single reaction, the combustion of gunpowder consists of many differing complex reactions.
How gunpowder works[/i], explained in terms a child could understand.

I suspect, though, that the gap he's trying to fit through is this one:
Even if we were unaware of how gunpowder works, it does in fact work and this is easily demonstrated by any fool.
But black powder is not the primary gunpowder in use today, and other things like cordite have been used in firearms ammunition.

That doesn't seem relevant to Mills' claim.
That doesn't seem relevant to Mills' claim.
Does this mean he expect to need another 370 years to complete it?
Naahh ... he just needs to operate from a country plenty of stupid people with money who may believe his snow jobs
What is relevant to Mills's claim that "academia is still clueless about the mechanism of gunpowder" is that so much is known about the mechanism that far more effective propellants and far more effective explosives can be and have been developed that use essentially the same chemistry and physics. To put it simply, his claim is a filthy stinking lie.
The point he is really making is that he is the one who is actually "clueless" about gunpowder. A few minutes of research would have found plenty of resources about gunpowder showing that it is mostly understood, i.e. plenty of clues.I wonder what point he is trying to make. Does this mean he expect to need another 370 years to complete it?
This is about Search for first stars uncovers 'dark matter' which is that a team found evidence of the first stars t about 180 million years after the Big Bang (not t=0) and an anomaly of colder than expected gas. They speculate that the gas cooled down through interaction with dark matter.Working on getting the Nature papers. At t=0, the beginning of the expansion, observations should show a universe of about 2.75 K (Figure 32.9)...
!Some individuals lived in the interval from the earliest years of the steam locomotive to Moon landings.
That is like 140 years (without counting Trevithick). Those individuals were extraordinarily longevous.
Change that phrase for "...the golden years of steam locomotion..." and it'll work.

Waiting for Mills to link black powder and hydrinos...
