Hillary Clinton is Done: part 4

Senator Bernie Sanders pinned blame Wednesday on Russia’s interference in the 2016 election squarely on Democrat Hillary Clinton’s campaign, largely reflecting President Donald Trump’s repeated claims. The Vermont independent, who ran in the Democratic primary in 2016, also scuttled any notion that his campaign was aided by Russia.

No surprise here.

It is sad to hold your head of state to account?
Bless your heart, Parsman. One thread would be more than sufficient for that, if that were the actual goal.

As opposed to the one who lost the election and is now a private citizen.
Hillary Clinton has had a long and storied career in politics. She's been an important figure in policymaking and fundraising. Her presidential campaigns are landmarks worthy of study. She is still active in politics, heading a well-funded superPAC, doing fundraising, etc. Her legacy and ongoing contributions are certainly worth examining and commenting on. Why do you begrudge a single thread devoted to the topic?

Strange world you live in sir.
Not nearly as strange as a world in which Hillary Rodham Clinton is a significant political figure of the past thirty years and counting, and nobody talks about it.

Sure, but is she done?

Thanks. It's nice to see a progressive who's willing to acknowledge such obvious and reasonable points.

but is she done?
It depends who you ask, I guess. It seems like a lot of progressives wish that she were done. Or at least that we all pretended she were done and stopped talking about her. You ask an interesting question, but clearly one that's hotly debatable. A thread to debate the subject seems like it might be a good idea.

Maybe we should petition the mods to change the thread title to something less triggering, so that it doesn't unduly disrupt the regular Two Minutes Trump Hate sessions, when people see it bumped by some fresh post. Maybe title it "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens", or something equally soothing.

That's just untrue right there, and laughably so.

If you say so. Still not an explanation of why progressives on this board get so upset about having a single thread about Hillary Clinton.

And what exactly is your concept of "holding the president to account", that requires multiple threads for that purpose? And what is that purpose, anyway? Does it have measurable results? Can we measure the threads to see if they're getting those results?

I'm not sure why you think anyone's upset.

This thread is a never-ending source of amusement, watching Trump toadies incessantly falling back on trying to demonize Clinton whenever they can't find any other way to distract from the dismal performances of their idol.

I sincerely hope none of you give it up. It's way to much fun to watch.

Like every argument; based on it's merit. Or lack thereof.

I'd note that I don't see a lot of people 'upset' at having a thread about Hilary Clinton. Many get quite livid in their criticisms of abjectly poor arguments and reasoning presented though. Reasoning such as false balance.

Pointing out the flaws, criticisms, and lies that apply to any given action or statement by the president. As the current president has done more that deserves more criticism, with more flaws, and using a ridiculously greater number of abjectly moronic lies, it's laughable to think that should all go in one thread. To think that there would be roughly equal worth criticizing is fallacious reasoning.

It offers the opportunity to explore the validity of various criticisms and defenses. People can change their mind and support based on this new understanding. Or they can dig in and really show the 'progs' how 'powerless' they are to change the mind of regressives.

Lock her up!
Lock her up!

Haha

People like that aren't likely to be on anyone's donor list?

Are you sure about that? Because I think if there's one thing we've learned recently, it's that donor lists -- which are essentially lists of the rich and powerful -- are *full* of people like that. Do you think Harvey Weinstein is the only rich, venal, entitled donor Hillary knows personally?

I mean, I dunno, but I suspect she may be acquainted with a certain William Jefferson Clinton, if nothing else.
Well yes she does personally know Trump.
