He would've handled an extraordinary amount of classified info as staff secretary. Did they just extend his interim clearance in perpetuity after he was denied approval for a regular one? That would be an obvious abuse of the process.​

This seems like a bad choice for a group to implement extreme vetting on immigrants and refugees.

Are you talking about the Trump University lawsuit? If so, your analysis is not quite accurate.

A settlement (for $25 million) was agreed on months ago, but one (or maybe more than 1) of the plaintiffs didn't like the deal and wanted to opt-out, which might have scuttled the whole thing and sent it back to the courts. The court ruling was that the settlement would go ahead as previously arranged, and that the woman who wanted to opt out did so too late.

Overall, I'm sure Trump is thrilled. The students don't get all their money back, Trump avoids the risk of higher fines, and he also avoids a potentially embarrassing lawsuit ahead of the midterms elections.

Somehow I doubt that Kelly has lived up to any of the hype surrounding his appointment.

Oh yeah, Kelly, didn't he use to be a Marine or something once? Seems like he did something before he was chief of staff but I just don't remember.
